“Had one of the most enjoyable meals ever. Farm fresh, imaginative food and libation. The jubilee was the best cocktail I have had in my entire life. Corn soup with lobster was sweet and succulent. Entrees full of flavor .. The wine pouring complemented each courser perfectly. And the service was perfection… Warm and welcoming. Made to feel like old friends. Can’t wait to go back.“

“Visited Stemwinder in Ludlow and had a pretty solid overall experience.

I ordered a Prosecco, pasta, steak, focaccia bread, and their chocolate cake. The focaccia was really tasty, and both the pasta and steak were well-prepared and enjoyable. The chocolate cake was just okay, nothing particularly memorable.

The ambience is a bit mixed from the outside, the building feels more like a rustic, slightly worn-down hut, while the inside has more of a tavern-style vibe rather than a true fine dining atmosphere. That said, the prices lean more toward the fine dining side, which felt a little mismatched with the setting.

Service was okay overall friendly, but nothing standout. It has more of a relaxed, old-school feel, and you’ll notice a slightly older crowd both dining and working there, which adds to the laid-back vibe.

Overall, good food and a decent experience, but just be aware of the pricing versus ambience. I’d recommend it especially for visitors in Ludlow who are looking for a quieter, more relaxed dinner spot.“

“Incredible conditions, beautiful views and amazing, kind personalities in the pro shop and at the bag drop. Also- the food at Calcutta’s was hands down the best post-round chow we have ever had (and the bartenders were on point). 10/10 recommend and will be back.“

“What an amazing experience! My husband and I were absolutely captivated by Calcuttas. The relaxed yet elegant space and beautiful views, even in the winter, with large windows providing natural light made for an unforgettable evening. The food and drinks were nothing short of exceptional, and the wonderful service from Amy truly made our visit. We’re already looking forward to a return visit!
We learned that one of our favorite chefs from the area is now at Calcuttas, and we knew we couldn’t miss the chance to dine there for Valentine's Day.
We started with delicious cocktails from the bar. All were well balanced and elegantly presented.
The evening specials included a salmon cake starter, accompanied by a smooth dill cream that left us wanting more.
For the main course, my husband chose the prime rib special, while I was thrilled to discover Chef Shayne's alfredo on the daily menu! I would gladly make the drive just for that dish. The prime rib was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy and bursting with flavor. The alfredo, made to order, was exactly what I had been craving. Chef Shayne’s culinary creations never fail to impress!
If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend Calcuttas. You won't be disappointed!“

“We decided to give this place a try and boy oh boy, did we score!? We did not reserve a table, and it was crowded when we arrived. Magical Madison made the difference for us, she had us seated in a prime spot in half an hour. She was personable, warm and completely efficient. She runs the desk with such grace and ease. I hope she is being paid well.
Our server, Kaiya, was amazing! She knew about the foods and the specials and she made great suggestions as well. Her service was excellent! We had the pork osso buco — delish! The burger, which was done to my specifications and delivered quickly, grilled pork with green beans, grilled pork medallions- so tender and seasoned right! The ceasar salad was crisp and fresh, our appetizers were all phenomenal from the chicken wings to the dumplings to the bread for the table, all tasty and eye-rolling good! Desserts were delicious and our drinks were spot-on! What an experience! If you want to sit in a clean, elegant place for high quality food, this is the place! Tired of burgers , pizzas and fries?! This is the place ! We plan to return.“

“Looking for a relaxing, yet luxurious weekend to unplug? This is THE place! This place covered everything my partner and needed. To start, our room was immaculate; upon entering our room, we were greeted with homemade shortbread cookies and flower petals on our bed to commemorate our fifth anniversary. Our room was perfectly clean and the bed was beyond comfortable. There were just so many little things that the inn had thought of- from Diptique toiletries to the most comfortable bathrobes laid out for us. After arriving, we spent the day meandering around the quaint town of Weston.

Once the evening arrived, we arrived at the amazing Left Bank. The front desk helped us organize our reservation. One of the most enjoyable parts of our evening was finding out that the restaurant has their own sommelier to help us find the right wine! We had a cheese platter to start, steak frites, as well as ice cream and chocolate mousse for dessert. It was all divine!

Once the evening winded down, the inn had everything to make us have a nice, relaxing, evening. We sat by the fire outside for some time and enjoyed the tranquility of the Weston.

The next day, we were greeted with homemade blueberry muffins and coffee. We also stoped by their bakery, where they had a plethora of delicious breakfast and lunch options, such as farro salad and homemade rotisserie chicken.

We are so sad to leave the Weston and will definitely be back soon. The highlight of our stay was: the amazing staff, impeccable attention to detail, delicious food, and the quaint town of Weston.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa
This was one of the best stays I've had and cannot wait to return!“

“All I can speak of is my experience, and no one else's. But... best ice cream I have ever had in my life! Maybe there's better places out there; but so far: this was the best ice cream I've ever discovered. Tempted to come back to Vermont just to revisit this place.“
