“We almost missed the place, because the front looked closed, but luckily we saw the open sign in the alley. It was a treat when we arrived as the atmosphere was lively, we had no reservations, but were able to sit at the bar. The bartender was great and helped us with the menu and made a special “mocktail” for my wife. We shared a Summer salad which was so fresh and my wife had the salmon and I had a pizza with charred corn. Not something I would normally go for, but based on her recommendation I did. It was very tasty. Overall a great experience for a tucked away little gem!“

“Our family had a wonderful meal at Calcuttas. Burgers, Rueben sandwich, fish and chips and the tuna with wonton chips appetizer were all good. The young man who was our server was excellent. Cordial, prompt and warm. We sat outside and it was a gorgeous Vermont evening! Perfect!“

“We decided to give this place a try and boy oh boy, did we score!? We did not reserve a table, and it was crowded when we arrived. Magical Madison made the difference for us, she had us seated in a prime spot in half an hour. She was personable, warm and completely efficient. She runs the desk with such grace and ease. I hope she is being paid well.
Our server, Kaiya, was amazing! She knew about the foods and the specials and she made great suggestions as well. Her service was excellent! We had the pork osso buco — delish! The burger, which was done to my specifications and delivered quickly, grilled pork with green beans, grilled pork medallions- so tender and seasoned right! The ceasar salad was crisp and fresh, our appetizers were all phenomenal from the chicken wings to the dumplings to the bread for the table, all tasty and eye-rolling good! Desserts were delicious and our drinks were spot-on! What an experience! If you want to sit in a clean, elegant place for high quality food, this is the place! Tired of burgers , pizzas and fries?! This is the place ! We plan to return.“
