Before I booked the dinner I reached out to Michael the owner to see if they would accommodate a kosher guest, knowing that the restaurant wasn’t kosher. Mike said the restaurant could plate a kosher meal that we brought in. The process was seamless and we are thankful for the accommodation!“

“I’ve been looking forward to checking out the restaurant, Dove & Deer, since I first encountered their food when their chef was highlighted at the annual Summer Gala fundraiser here in Hudson last year. Their chef served an incredible amuse-bouche with gooseberries and the chef who was there sharing the amuse-bouches was wonderfully charming and the food was incredible! I was so impressed that I’ve been following their social media since then and have been looking forward to visiting the restaurant all the while! I was recently in the area and while I unfortunately wasn’t able to visit the restaurant in person- I was able to order through Door Dash and the meal was incredible! We ordered an assortment of things to share and were thrilled with everything! -Spicy Kale Caesar with shredded kale, croutons, and shaved parmesan! -Truffle Parm Fries with scallions and truffle aioli! -Mini Wagyu Beef Hotdogs made with wagyu beef, served in buttery toasted buns, and topped with mustard, ketchup, and relish! -Hot Lobster Dip made with lobster claw and knuckle meat, gruyere, gouda, fontina, spinach, scallion, and crispy wontons! It is often very difficult for a restaurant to adjust their menu to translate to takeout; and for them to do so where every single dish was not only delicious but also mostly with a great presentation, says a great deal about their attention to detail. This is a restaurant I look forward to dining at again many more times over the years!“

“Fantastic experience earlier this month having Sunday Brunch with my son and our American cousins at Lost & Found. This place is great! The real America, in Albany, away from the well-beaten tourist tracks. Friendly service, great menu, tasty food, and the proprietor is a gent - even let us get group photos on the stage as he hadn’t a band at the time! It was a wet Sunday but we just had a great family get together inside. Not that far from the city centre and worth finding. Very good value as well.“

“Instead of recommending the restaurant or not I wish I could rate it with stars. I would give a 3.75 the food was the good. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. Nothing was stand out amazing. For the price I would think the entrees would come with a salad or bread for the table but they do not. Drinks of course were expensive as anywhere but I got the smallest pour of wine I’ve probably ever received. We went for a special occasion and I wish we would have went somewhere else. Maybe I’ll try again with friends again for lunch and hope for a better experience.“

Classic pub style seating and experience. Head up to the bar to order your food and drink, head back with your drinks and wait for the food. Theres tvs showing multiple different games but if youre not there for that the rest of the interior is the perfect astethic for a comfy night at the local bar.

“Admittedly did not expect to find this gem of a place during our one night trip to Albany for an event. We were exhausted and thought the hotel restaurant would just have to do. Most US based restaurants sorely disappoint in food quality. Mr D’s was truly an exception. The service we received from the time we got in (and were the last two to be seated for the night) was remarkable. From the hostess (Kiosa) to our servers (Jada and Sophie), those were key to our amazing experience. Once we sat at our table where we requested to be away from the noise and door, we knew we were in good hands. The wine selection was curated and Jada knew how to help me pick from a couple of bottles I was not aware of which showed thoughtful training. We ordered the lamb shank special. Which as a south East Asian, I get terrified when non-Asians cook a South Asian inspired flavour fusion. We were glad fully delighted and the corn side was perfectly spiced as well. What stood out to me was my steak and chips which came with one of the best au poivre sauce I’ve had to date. It was not pepper forward but instead felt like an elegant glaze of tender flavours allowing the steak to shine.

Again, utterly surprised by how good the food AND the service was at Mr D’s. If we’re ever passing through Albany again, this is certainly on our list of places to go! Truly, kudos to the team for building talented staff and curating a delicious menu.“

“B-rads catered my wedding recently. It was by far the best food i have had. For cocktail hour was had bacon wrapped Pierogies, chicken and waffle skewers, coconut shrimp. There was also this massive charcuterie table that everyone was talking about. For dinner we had pulled pork, lemon pepper chicken, and brisket. Sides were mac n cheese, slaw, salad, corn bread, rolls ect. Everything was SO good. The brisket fell apart and was amazing. My husband loved the mac n cheese (it was amazing also). Everyone talked about how amazing the food was. Pricing was good also. They were great to work with leading up to the wedding and even called a couple days before hand to make sure we didn’t need anything else. 10/10 recommend them to cater any event!“

“I came in between 4 and 5pm with my husband. We are frequent visitors of the Latham location. When we were being cashed out, we were abruptly interrupted when a older male (assuming their boss) came from the back and started (quite rudely) yelling at the employees working the front. It was quite unappetizing to see them being spoken to in that manner, especially in front of customers. The friendly employees are one of the main reasons my husband and I favor this location. I am quite surprised they did not quit on the spot. I gave them a sympathetic look before putting money in one of the tip jars.“

“I chose this restaurant in the ALB as it was recommended if you had time and wanted to enjoy your food and dining experience; which I had and did. It was mid afternoon and I needed something to tide me over until I arrived back in NC. I was quickly greeted by a server, don't recall her name, but she was wonderful, and she gave me the perfect amount of time to figure out my plan. I ordered a large glass of house white wine and a side of the truffle parmesan tater tots. Each item arrived timely and perfectly tasty and at optimal temperatures. I know they were tater tots, but they were the most elevated tater tots I have ever enjoyed. They were crispy, hot, and sprinkled with delicious grated parmesan and roughly chopped fresh Italian parsley all while cooked in a light oil of truffle. Chef's kiss! Great, friendly servie too!“

“I do not recommend this place at all. Over priced frozen dinners from the corner store. Wait time to get dinner 2 hours and 36 mins. If you want a drink you have to wait 45 mins to get a simple soda. Our waiter AJ kicked butt. He was super busy. We even offered to help clean table off. The manger was a grumpy and hard to work with. We ordered wings for appetizers and it took 1 hour and 35 mins. Definitely never coming back.“
