“Went here for dinner tonight and everything was perfect! They have a nice selection of wine. For dinner we had the blackened chicken pasta (incredible), baked brie ( also incredible) and the Flatbread ( perfection). I highly recommend you give this place a try!“
“Not only were the staff very inviting but even the regulars that were there seemed very friendly. I had a burger with fries and my sister had a steak sandwich with fries. We both were very happy with our meals and will definitely suggest to our family and friends to go to this wonderful little restaurant.“
“Came here with a few colleagues some days ago looking for a nice wine spot. This place is very nice, cozy and intimate. The wine and beers are great. Staff very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The owner came out at some point to check on us and he was great :) On top of the drinks we also had the cheese plate and some spaghetti, both of which were absolutely wonderful. We are not from Albany but if I ever find myself here again I'll definitely be back! Thanks for a great service :)“
“Excellent food, great service. Interesting place, definitely with a vintage vibe. We are from out of town, visited on recommendation. We loved it! If back in area, will visit again. Definitely make reservations in advance. There is street parking, and restaurant states you can park in municipal lot next to restaurant. Lot has a sign stating $10, but not sure if money collected at night though. We parked pretty easily on the street.“
“An excellent selection of hard to find Eastern European beers and wines! Plus we tried some local brews. Bartender very good at helping us choose what we’d like. Relaxed atmosphere- we’ve eaten both inside and out in the garden, which is hidden from the street and a nice surprise to find after walking through the black gates. We had appetizers, burgers and salads- all were very good.“
“Support local! The staff at Homebrew Emporium is kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. The store is well stocked with just about everything you need for brewing (and if it's not in stock it can be ordered). Fair prices and good quality merchandise. There's a wide variety of bottling materials to choose from, both glass and plastic. If you don't see it, ask for it!My favorite place to shop for homebrew supplies!“
“Anthony Bourdain said to have a beer in an empty pub, and that's what I did here.Doubles as a homebrew store. What I loved about this place is that the styles are either old school - think English IPA or oatmeal stout - or straight up historical. Definitely a change of pace. I enjoyed all the beers I tried.Owner was super knowledgeable and friendly.Prices were good, and I'm glad they were open on a Monday, which isn't the case for even the bigger brewpubs in town.Old school, DIY place that I'm glad to have visited.“
“Had dinner there last night and it was excellent. This is the location of the former Lombardo's restaurant on lower Madison Avenue. This is a new Albany location of the legendary Hattie's in Saratoga Springs, which has been serving up southern fare since the early 1930s. There is off-street parking next to the restaurant and in a lot directly across the street. Ambiance inside is lively and the renovations in the space kept many of the old Albany elements with a mix of New Orleans, all updated and welcoming. The cocktail I had - a Vieux Carre - was mixed to perfection. Jambalaya, grit cakes, key lime pie all outstanding. Friends had the famous fried chicken and the ribs - rave reviews. Excellent service. Highly recommended.Parking: Next to the restaurant and across the street.“
“Nice atmosphere and great location and they have outside dining but they offer very little food choices, things like cheese plates etc. And it's expensive. Plus when I hear " confectionary" I think of baked deserts, and there aren't any!“
“Sometimes you just want a creative delicious meal that’s perfectly executed and made with fresh ingredients. Scarlet Knife has added more vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options to their farm to table menu thank goodness as now there are lots of options for all. The Winter Greens salad was enjoyable and fully balanced. Nice wine list and live music.“
“Stopped for a quick bite and was more than impressed with how amazing the hot food was. There is a lot in terms of store variety aside from food or drinks. One drawback was parking and location as it seems to be right in the middle of several streets of college student rentals. I imagine though for those students that's a plus.Parking: Free street parking, at night at least, but if you can find it.“
“Seasmoke was fantastic. This was my fourth time there - every time just as good as the former. Tried the lamb burger this time - spectacular; it will be hard to order anything else next time! Can't wait to be on the deck this summer. Highly recommended.“
“The Daisy is a cute chic taco and margarita place. The tacos are fusion, they have a bulgogi one with kimchi and a fried chicken and a coconut shrimp one plus others. Not authentic Mexican tacos but stills delicious. Classy place. The margaritas are strong! I saw a sign for buy one get one margaritas on Wednesdays. They have a decent amount of tables even though it’s a small place, there is a back room with more tables. The servers were attentive and friendly. The coconut margarita was creamy and I liked the coconut shreds on the rim. Margaritas and tacos are all around $13. Tacos come with 2. Bill can definitely add up but it’s worth it. Great environment to catch up with friends. The chip appetizer with pico de gallo was delicious. The chips had a great crisp, they tasted deep fried. Perfectly salted. I liked my coconut shrimp tacos the best. 2 big meaty shrimp in each taco, crunchy and cooked well and the pineapple in it gave it a nice sweetness. The fried chicken tacos were a mix of dark and light meat chunks, which were very tender and soft. Though a bit too soft for my likening of chicken texture. And the sauce has a very strong cilantro flavor. If I’m in the area again I would love to come back and try other tacos and margarita flavors!“
