Such a perfect cozy spot with great service and delicious food. Traveling through with dietary restrictions, I wasn’t confident I’d find something, never mind something delicious and satisfying! I’m vegan and I was so pleasantly surprised with my tempeh bacon sandwich. Would definitely come back.

Happened upon The Buttery after a stop at Dog Mountain. The food is very vegan and meat eater friendly, and soooo tasty with a nice array of options. The folks who work there are so friendly. We can't wait to go back on our next trip to Saint Johnsbury.

Ordered the special CottoPanino- excellent! Who would have thought to have delicata squash as part of a baguette sandwich? They did. Yum

Loved it!!!! Highly recommended. We recently visited Vermont and while randomly searching for a nice place to eat.. we came across this place and wanted to try it for its beautiful ambiance. But the little did we know that food is beyond beautiful. We ordered Pistachio pesto pasta and kale salad. Both were just amazing. Loved it so much that we went back for breakfast the next morning and ordered the chili spicy crispy chicken burger (it was crispy yet melting in the mouth) and The works sandwich with everything in it. Had a wholesome food experience.

A major disappointment. I can’t believe thet they currently have a 4.9 rating. I did not enjoy their special for the evening, a lemon ricotta bucatini. It was dry, salty and just not pleasant. There was a dearth of squash in the meal. And it was and outrageous $26.
