This is our favorite spot in town. The owner and staff are so kind and welcoming. The food is always exactly what you want no matter what you're looking for. Specials change daily and are delicious! If you're looking for the spot where the locals go daily and are welcoming to new comers, the Kitchen Counter Cafe is the place to be.
Stopped on our drive home after visiting family in Vermont. Delicious lunch included a cheeseburger, Reuben sandwich and chocolate shakes. Comfortable seating and quick service. Would definitely stop again if we are going through St. Johnsbury.

We were in St J today waiting to close on a piece of land. We parked outside The Kitchen Counter and Cafe to kill some time before the closing. We saw so many people coming and going. That told us this was the place to go. We went into this super bright and busy place. I ordered the corn chowder. It's was perfect and instantly brought back memories of my Mom's recipe.
