“5-star roadside dinner experience. On our way from Middlebury to Burlington, we wanted a good breakfast. Dutch Mill Diner did not disappoint us. Terrific breakfast reasonably priced. My husband said that his corn beef hash was one of best, and my breakfast sandwich was tasty!”

“For a museum cafe, surprisingly good! Came in with low expectations as the café is a ‘grab and go’ style place, but they had a few different options of soups, fruit salads, sandwiches, and snacks! I had the ham and cheese panini which was very good! It’s somewhat pricey, but that’s to be expected from a restaurant at an attraction. The dining area fits the old-style vibe of Shelburne, too. Will be back to the museum soon and will have lunch here again!”

“We had dinner at onion city for my birthday this past October (like 4 days ago). We were greeted quickly and seated. We ordered a whiskey sours and wine while we scanned the menu. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder as an appetizer, which was buttery and delightful. Dinner was a lobster roll and fish and chips. Lobster was tender and not overly dressed. Fish was lightly breaded and not over done. Staff were great, delightful and attentive. Environment is clean and cozy. Overall, had a great time. Highly recommended. We look forward to out next visit for the fried chicken sandwich. It’s got quite the reputation…. A great one. Check out Onion City. Well worth it.”

“We made reservations for our large group ahead of time and they were very accommodating. The service was fantastic, keeping our drinks full and making recommendations from the menu. The food was all delicious, and everyone enjoyed their meal. About half of our group hadn’t had Indian food before but they all left as fans! The waiter was able to easily guide the vegan in our group to a variety options for him. We all enjoyed tea and a sweet at the end. We are so glad to have found this restaurant and will definitely be back!”

“Service was perfect amount of friendly/professional. The building updates, soft lighting, and openness of the restaurant was great. The food - ridiculous. I saw cabbage on the menu in two spots, I knew I had to try one. I got the side with garlic sauce - it was transformed into something else entirely. It should be illegal what happens to cabbage here! Over all - a wonderful and refreshingly surprising adventure with taste, texture and flavor combos. I will be back!”

Seated promptly even for a holiday, loved the industrial look of everything, beautiful view and even though it was super busy everything came out quickly and the tuna poke!!... amazing, highly recommend!!!!”

The pizza is great every time, and the salads are genuinely excellent (not an afterthought). The standout for me, though, is the house-made mozzarella—it’s absolutely to die for. Highly recommend.”

“Creative menu with well designed and seasoned dishes! Loved everything we got, about 90% of the menu was vegan the day we went. All desserts were vegan as well and included their soft serve ice cream— must try if you have the chance. Wine selection was good, cocktails were tried were so-so.”
