Interesting place.

They were closed when we got there, but there were folks there working - getting the place ready to open soon. They opened the place for us - we got to to try some wine - bought 2 bottles of wine - bought some cheese & crackers and they told us about a path in the back that took us up Fox Hill for a beautiful view of Lake Champlain - a beautiful spot to enjoy a bottle of wine and the cheese and crackers - we went there and it was beautiful. They also told us about a store in North Hero with lots of cool kitchen gadgets - we stopped there and purchased a few gadgets - they told us about a restaurant - The North Hero House Inn & Restaurant - we ate there - it was fabulous - all of this possible because the woman who owned Snow Farm Vineyard let us in - what a great day!

My husband and I got married at Snow Farm August 16, 2025. We had the most incredible experience having our wedding at Snow Farm Vineyard! From the very beginning, Nick was extremely easy to communicate with—responsive, helpful, and always willing to answer our many questions. When we showed up for our initial session, he had prepared a powerpoint of what to expect and the options for the day and truly listened to our vision.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the property was, and it created the perfect backdrop for our day. The flowers are perfect in August and there were so many butterflies. Everything ran seamlessly, and the team made sure we were well taken care of from start to finish.

Nick went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and his calm, organized presence on the day of the wedding was something we truly appreciated. It allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the moment knowing everything was handled.

Snow Farm Vineyard was by far the best venue we visited in the Burlington area, and the experience we had there was unmatched. We couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else and would wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple looking for a gorgeous, welcoming, and well‑run venue.

We kind of ran into this place after taking the ferry from Lake Placid. We got some beer and some drinks and sat out on the patio, it was super nice. We really liked it here.

Snow Farm Vineyard & Distillery is a vineyard, winery, and recently added distillery located in the Champlain Islands (South Hero, Vermont).

They grow almost all their grapes on site (estate vineyard), specializing in French hybrids and “cold-hardy” varietals like Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Leon Millot, Marquette, etc.

The distillery side opened recently (October 2023), producing small-batch spirits: gin, grappa, maple liqueur, fortified port-style wine.

As beautiful and peaceful setting — vineyard rows, views of Lake Champlain, sunsets, views of the Adirondacks, and Green Mountains. The ambiance is calm, scenic, and charming.

They offer a broad spectrum of wines (sweet, dry, dessert wines, sparkling), plus newer distillery products. This gives visitors some choice and opportunity to sample interesting blends.

Wine-tasting flights are customizable (4 or 8 wines), and servers help guide selections. Spirit tastings are also available. A well thought-out tasting order and descriptions help, especially for non-experts.

The vineyard also doubles as an event venue (weddings, live music, concerts, etc.). They have outdoor seating (patio, deck, lawn), indoor rooms for colder weather, and options for picturesque photo opportunities (Fox Hill, heart-shaped path in grounds).

Their red wines are very good and the Late Harvest is excellent if you like ice wines. It is similar but not an ice wine.

Our August wedding at Snow Farm was everything we could have hoped for and more. We truly had a perfect day and are so thankful and appreciative to Nick, Julie, and all the SFV staff whose hard work made our day most memorable and special.

This venue provides great value for money in Vermont and our guests complimented the venue many times over.

We also loved that our out of town close family could stay at the inn. They thought it was beautiful and charming and really enjoyed their entire weekend. SFV has a great roster of recommended vendors that made planning on my own easy and Nick was extremely responsive and lovely to work with leading up to and on the day of our wedding.

The Snow Farm Inn is lakefront, peaceful and charming. Dave and Julie took great care of us. Easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Gorgeous country lake location.
Took a 1/2 day excursion to the Shelburne Farm for a stunning mansion tour and sat outside the cheese factory for a delicious smash burger at the farm cart.
Highly recommend.

This winery is just a gem of a location, located in the Champlain Lake area. Lots of sitting places, very peaceful and quiet on a back road. Staff is very friendly and welcoming! Highly recommended if you enjoy wine tasting and a walk on a vineyard. Will be back!

Wine was very good. We stopped on our bike ride, he views were amazing. We will be going back when we have more time to relax and enjoy.

Very nice staff, welcomed our kids with games and space for them to play. The wine flight was tasty and very reasonably priced.

This is a lovely winery! They really cater to the bicycle riders here. Which is super cool. The wines are amazing. They are also a distillery. There’s maple syrup available as well. Such a huge and beautiful place. Lots of concerts here in the summer with plenty of parking! We also enjoyed talking to the bartender today.
