Beautiful restaurant. Not very kid friendly, though. Small menu, but delicious and gorgeous plating. We didn't make a reservation, so we had about a 30 minute wait for our party of 6.

Lovely atmosphere and very tasty food . Highly recommend!
I was super excited to try out this place! The Pate was creative but the crackers could've been a better fit to the dish. The Sqash fettucini was good but unremarkable.
The biggest distance was the complete failure of the Sugar on Snow for dessert. As a Vermont staple, how does a restaurant here not understand what it is! It is not supposed to be a maple syrup snow cone! Seriously! The syrup came out and hadn't been rendered at all. Complete shame!

This place was such a great find! Super-friendly and fast service. I had the squash soup, which was one of the best soups I have ever had! Here is a pic of the soup; it was hard to stop eating to take the pic. Would definitely go back

The meal was excellent (best burger and potatoes I’ve had in a while!) but the bigger reason for my review is the incredible service. I cannot say enough about how kind, thoughtful and accommodating the staff and chef are. Highly recommend.

We had great service and our waitress was friendly and very attentive. Everything we had was delicious, down to the Chardonnay. There’s plenty of street parking. You can eat outside as well, it’s definitely worth checking out this place.
Parking: There’s plenty of street paekong. of it
Kid-friendliness: They have highchairs

I was so impressed by the delicious meal I ate at Birches today. I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was crispy with tender meat. The homemade bun was tender and paired perfectly. The star of the show may just be the home fries, which are so crispy and sprinkled with rosemary. Plenty of beverage options, non-alcoholic and alcoholic (the fresh-squeezed lemonade is incredible and so refreshing on a hot summer day!). Our waitress, Olivia, was kind and knowledgeable and the hostess, Makenna, was so accommodating and friendly. We will be back!

The food wasn’t terrible but it really wasn’t great for the price, especially since we had to wait over 50 minute to get pretty basic breakfast dishes. Some dishes didn’t come with the things they were supposed to and the eggs were drowning in sauce. The drinks- tea/coffee- were way overpriced ($5-$6) AND they had no foam, were lukewarm, and just didn’t taste good. Service wasn’t super good either, we had to ask servers for water and they never came for refills on any drinks. The servers also would forget things we asked for multiple times, like straws- we wouldn’t have minded as much if it was busier but there were maybe 3 tables total at the time. It was just kind of lackluster and disappointing since it has a nice atmosphere inside and menu seemed like it had a lot of potential.

This place is absolutely delicious! Fresh ingredients with a flavor pop at every bite. Simple selection of food, yet good variety for everyone to enjoy. We ordered avocado toast, cucumber tartine, birches benedict with salmon, chicken and waffles, a waffogato, and drinks for everyone. Total for 4 people after tip was about $100.

Baked trout in soy reduction sauce with fresh cabbage and cilantro was perfect. A little bit of starch like boiled potatoes or fresh bread would make it 5 stars.
Congratulations!
