A fun place to stop and enjoy after a ski up the mountain! A nice fire place and a warm feel. There’s some good snacks and some food to eat along with hot cocoa and water. It’s also nice to get a quick rest before heading back down!

We always enjoy our visit to this beautiful place with our family. Plenty of things to do on property with friendly staff! The Guesthouses need some major updates! We had an awesome week of weather and enjoyed the outdoor pool being open in October!

We absolutely loved staying at the Trapp Family Lodge. The tours are phenomenal, the grounds are beautiful, the food is great... We learned so much and were very relaxed at the same time. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this place!

This was a bucket list item! I feel so connected to Maria and to be where she lived was just wonderful! The lodge is beautiful. The tour guide was also very good and knowledgeable. The views are spectacular. Added bonus to meet Christina Von Trapp. So glad we went!

We had an absolutely fantastic time! We stayed 8 days and never got bored. The tours are phenomenal, each guide had a depth of knowledge and we learned several things on each tour. The grounds, restaurants, movies, and activities were all well organized. Highly recommend!

We love the peaceful time we have every year coming to the Guest House for a week! It was so exciting that the cows were grazing just down the hill, for which we had a great view from our living room window. My grandchildren also enjoyed seeing the sheep on the hill! We all had a lovely time!!!

The Trapp Family Lodge is magnificent. Everywhere we looked we saw beautifully maintained grounds adorned with care. The flowers, apple trees, rooms upon hidden rooms found when exploring, walks, hikes, views, sunsets, and accommodations are all top notch. We had a hard time even leaving the grounds. We hiked many of the trails, walked to the kaffeehaus and bierhall, took the shuttle when dark, and soaked up all the sights and sounds of its 1000s of acres. We stayed in the Salzburg Suite and had a quiet patio with gorgeous views. Everything about Trapp Family Lodge is awesome. Maybe some day we can return.

Be prepared to enjoy the fresh air, friendly people, lots of activity with walking. The folks will love the cows, sheep and trails, even indoor pool and outdoor pool( if open) ). The activity center can offer wildflower walks, hiking tours, renting bikes. The physical activity certainly lets you sleep better, especially for us old timers.

When you are on the property you relax and take a break from stress. The setting is unlike any in the northeast. The room was very quiet with nice outdoor chairs and a view of the mountains. We had dinner at the main dining room and it was perfect. My daughter and I had steak and my wife had salmon. Some marginal reviews in the past dont belong here anymore, not from our experience.

Older guesthouses in sore sore need of updating… our float week unit in building 3 was absolutely in terrible shape.. very embarrassing to have family come stay there to say the least!! We have been owners of unit 17A and also own a float week since 1985ish. We pay the most exorbitant maintenance fees on a yearly basis.. those fees are clearly not being used to update or even fix all that was damaged in the unit. We are wondering if our maintenance fees are being used for the construction of all the new beautiful villas across the way from the guest houses! We’ve heard the same complaints from many other guest house owners. It’s past due time that these guest houses get their share of some very needed care in the interior!! We know about work being done on the roofs and the outdoor stairways. That’s all fine but the interior is certainly more important at this time. There needs to be attention to this matter. Please use our maintenance fees as you should.. to fix and update the interior of the guest houses especially the ones in phase #1. There was peeling wallpaper throughout, burn holes and frayed carpets, kitchen totally needs updating, problem with electrical outlet to the refrigerator (almost spoiled all of the food we bought) and the list goes on!! We deserve much better as owners that have paid these fees for so long not to mention our initial investment. Beyond disappointed Nadine and Jeffrey Laniewski

Cross-country skied here from the Trapp Family Lodge. What a wonderful experience, great to have a destination. Gentleman working there lives on premise. He was a treat to talk too. I found some Chaga mushroom on the birch tree outside, and he gave me some hot water for chaga tea. Was fun to meet the other skiers, while sitting on the porch, watching the birds.

Excellent stay. I am not exaggerating in saying the Trapp Family Lodge is the best place to stay in the Northeast if you are looking for relaxing, outdoor centric, first class dining and lodging with incredible scenery (on property) and in a quintessential New England small town (Stowe).

Great ski. Enjoyed a picnic lunch inside by the fire! Definitely doing this again!
