This place is a great little spot for tourists. The outdoor patio/porch is lovely. Our waitstaff were wonderful. I was a little disappointed by the food. It tasted great but the portions were smaller then I was expected for a plate (steak) that was 50 plus bucks. It was very plain presentation as well. Still good but I'd probably go somewhere else if your looking for a little more detail and excitement to your food.
Top notch beginning to end. So few dining experiences match the price tag, but you can feel very good when you leave Whip. Service was excellent, the food amazing, set in a warm and cozy dining room that oozes New England ski town charm. Put it on your must-go list the next time you're in Stowe.
This place has an interesting menu. I like the vibe of the place. It’s elegant but casual at the same time. You don’t need to be dressed fancy but you feel like you are in a nice place. They start you with what seems to be home baked bread with a maple butter which was very good. I got the steak au poive. It was not cooked to my liking but it was very good nonetheless. When the waitress asked how everything is I said it wasn’t cooked to my liking but it didn’t need...
