Ate and Drank here after motorcycling for 10 hours with no solid food. The Steak Frites was phenomenal, perfectly cooked, perfect cut of meat, perfectly seasoned fries to accompany it. Creative seasonal menu of delicious fare using lots of local products and prepared with a step above twist!
The burgers, saison fries, shorty (shortrib) pie and house chips with VT cheddar cauliflower dip are staples and the seasonal specials, salads and soups never disappoint.
Oh, and that Whiskey cake!
Went here at the recommendation of Patrick at the mountaineer and he was so right about how great the food was! We all loved our meals and even had dessert which we never do. The staff was great and very attentive. Even quick to help with a spilled drink by my niece. We will absolutely be back!

Trail 87 offers a unique and delicious food and drink selection, paired with top-notch service and hospitality. The restaurant's welcoming atmosphere is complemented by its friendly staff, including the owner and chef. Menu highlights include the watermelon salad, phenomenal burgers and fries, and out-of-this-world cookies. The Shorty Pie and Drive-In burger are also highly recommended. New favorites include the Notorious FIG, praised as one of the best grilled cheeses, and the French onion burger, which received compliments from guests. The trail nachos are also a standout, with customers raving about their taste. To complete the experience, try the Apple butter old fashioned, a unique and awesome drink. The ambiance is refined and relaxed, making it a must-stop destination in the area, especially given the reasonable prices for a ski resort. Overall, Trail 87 is sure to leave a lasting impression, especially after recent positive reviews. Guests enjoyed the burgers, describing them as delicious, with great service from attentive and kind staff. The farm plate with homemade pickles, brie, naan, and applesauce was outstanding, and the double smash VT burger was mouth-watering, with excellent mayo sauce and hand-cut fries. The schwarma bowl was also highly praised, featuring perfectly cooked, seasoned chicken that was well balanced and filling. Customers also loved the cocktail menu, especially the kale caesar with focaccia croutons, making the overall experience both flavorful and inviting.
