“We had dinner at onion city for my birthday this past October (like 4 days ago). We were greeted quickly and seated. We ordered a whiskey sours and wine while we scanned the menu. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder as an appetizer, which was buttery and delightful. Dinner was a lobster roll and fish and chips. Lobster was tender and not overly dressed. Fish was lightly breaded and not over done. Staff were great, delightful and attentive. Environment is clean and cozy. Overall, had a great time. Highly recommended. We look forward to out next visit for the fried chicken sandwich. It’s got quite the reputation…. A great one. Check out Onion City. Well worth it.”

“take this review with a grain of salt, because vietnamese cuisine isn’t my sweet spot. but everything was SO FRESH. really remarkable. the space is bright and quiet and the service is great. my one minor gripe was that the atmospheric music wasn’t to my taste. kind of like having breakfast in a music box. but the food is freshhhhhh!”

“Super fun little place for cocktails. The drinks are well priced and tasty. Not a lot of space, but nice and quaint. Not super private, so don't plan on having a sneaky link rendez vous or a high stakes business meeting here. But if you want delicious cocktails served by pleasant staff...and sometimes with cool music, this is a place for you.”

“So glad we found this spot! Great selection of classic Eastern European styles, with a couple of hand selected special bottles that were very interesting. (There are other beer types as well. Orval FTW!) Owner is super knowledgeable and gets the vibe that we are looking for. Its a place to chat and chill, without the distraction of TVs and loud tunes.”

“Southern Smoke has awesome tasting food! The chicken was so flavorful, moist and delicious. The mac and cheese was cooked perfectly, not gummy or chalky, full of flavor. The food stayed hot! The owner Brian was easy to deal with! I would not go anywhere else for catering!”

“I love this place so much. I have been a patriot since it was at its small shop. What I love about it is that the customer service is always wonderfully friendly. it feels like I'm walking into their home to eat their mom's home cooking. I have traveled around and tried pho soup to assess which one is the best. I have gone to Florida Virginia all around the East Coast and hands down their pho soup is the best of the best! I even brought my sister with confidence and she's never tried Vietnamese food before and she had her mind alone. her and her daughter are quite the foodies themselves and they were pleasantly and wonderfully surprised. they said this is the best they ever had!”

“I love the ice cream here, interesting flavors. Today they had double tahini swirl and fennel lime. The tahini ice cream (black and white) is amazing. The bathroom wall art is great, local school kid art on walls, lots of seating, it’s a lovely escapist cafe.”

“I am blown away. You ever feel like you can taste the love in a meal? That’s how my burrito bowl tasted. This was the best lunch I’ve had in winooski in years. So flavorful, and also felt healthy. Also, only 10.99 for a generous portion. Plus I got a mango lassi on the side? Where else u getting a burrito bowl and mango lassi together? Give them your business, they deserve it. And you won’t be disappointed”

“The food was delicious. The atmosphere invites you to stay and chat for hours. But don't because there are always people waiting for a table. Parking is free on Sundays and harder to find on weekdays and Saturdays. It's worth the frustration. The staff is fantastic too.”

“On a road trip from out of state, googled some options and was recommended Jrs from another restaurant that was reservations only tonight; so very happy that’s how it worked out! We called ahead to make sure they had openings and the girl I talked to was very friendly. Upon arrival though they mentioned they don’t take reservations they had a table for 5 ready for us. Coming from out of state with 3 kids of different ages there were a lot of questions about the menu and our waitress Lexi was patient and kind; speaking with them directly and making sure to answer all questions. Drinks were refilled without asking, extra napkins supplied, she kept an eye out and checked in regularly. The food was fantastic as well, but Lexi was superb!”

“Great place with a friendly staff and good food except for the mango habanero wings. These were the absolute best most perfect mango habanero chicken combination I have EVER experienced. But the chicken cheese steak was just an 8/10.”

“I stopped by Four Quarters Brewing couple of my friends earlier this summer. I was very impressed with both their variety and consistency across all of the beers they offered. I tried several of them alongside my friends, and we had a hard time deciding which one we liked best. The atmosphere both inside and outside of this restaurant is excellent. Tucked on the upper hill in Winooski, this is a must stop for anyone in the area or anyone who is passing by. Thank you Four Quarters, I will be back!”
