The food here is generally good though it does have some issues with consistency. The major issue that we have is the time it takes to be reserved. It takes a long long time. We were there a couple of weeks ago and I think we had some appetizer and really just soup and we were probably there for almost 2 hours. It won't stop us from coming back, but it's something worth noting.

The portions are small! So if you eat a lot or have a husband like me who eats alot you need to order 2 entrees or extra sides. Even our neighboring table had a man ask for a second sandwich because it wasn’t enough food. Staff was nice although when we were served our food a bug came off our waiters neck, jumped on an another table and then he used that hand to serve our food 😭 we still ate it though. Probably won’t return a little overrated and expensive.

Aside from never figuring out how to pay for parking, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch 😀 We both ordered the Rough Francis chicken sandwich and it was great. If you don't like spicy, ask for the chicken to be plain! It was huge, very yummy, and the chips were delicious sliced and fried potato. Would recommend!

This was our first time visiting, and while we don’t live locally, we will absolutely go out of our way to patronize this restaurant again.
The food was incredible, but even beyond that, what truly outshined everything else was the staff. It was such a vibe — and I don’t use that word often — but it genuinely was. Everybody was in sync, enjoying the night, and every single person was accommodating in their own authentic way. Nothing felt forced; it felt genuine, thoughtful, and effortless. They anticipated needs before we even had to ask and were simply over-the-top gracious.
We have a child with autism who happens to love looking at the doors in the back of restaurants and stores — he’s been fascinated by them forever. During a busy Saturday service, the staff kindly offered to show him the kitchen. It was their recommendation, something they absolutely did not have to do, and that level of kindness meant so much to us.
Huge fans, and we’ll absolutely be telling everyone about this place.
Please come visit us at Green Goddess Cafe anytime!

Cute spot right in the heart of town! Definitely recommend making a reservation since it was completely packed even on a Thursday night. The mussels were huge, juicy, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed the fried fish platter, although a few pieces were a little tough. Overall, the prices were very reasonable and we’d definitely give this place another shot.

Maybe the most thoughtful meal in chittenden county. What I love are the priceless small details in the decore, menu, and style of service.
You won’t find better seafood in the state- very thoughtful sourcing and super high quality, fresh products no matter what you get.

Great food - everything was very tasty and our server was super attentive. Not too packed or noisy so we could have good conversation throughout dinner. Looking forward to going back.

Basic dishes but kicked up 10 times in flavor and freshness. Oysters amazing. Steak tartare, love. Basic hotdog and salad, SO good! Best side salad I’ve ever had. The hotdog bun was perfection. Don’t get me started on the chocolate mouse. Chocolately, velvety and salty goodness. Can’t wait to come back and try the chicken.

Great spot and really solid experience. They squeezed us in as a walk-in, which we appreciated.

You can tell they actually care about what they’re putting out. Fried chicken was super moist, clearly marinated properly, lobster roll was on point, house chips were great, and even the basic green salad was perfectly dressed.

Only thing that felt off, charging $0.50 for ketchup on a kids hot dog just feels unnecessary.

Would definitely go back.

We had a great meal—one of those evenings where everything comes together just right.

We started with a dozen fresh oysters and cocktails, a perfect start. From there, we moved on to appetizers, including an outstanding rabbit terrine served with beautifully dressed greens.
The cheddar tater tots with salmon were delicious, and we added the warm honey beignets. We also shared a round of the Rough Francis chicken sandwiches, which were absolutely out of this world—spicy, crispy, and juicy.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable (we also enjoyed a bottle of wine).

All in all, a perfect meal from start to finish—one we’ll be thinking about for a long time.
