The restaurant space is inviting and the food was delicious. However, upon entering our first impression was a very poor welcome by a man with a sour personality. We were all taken by surprise as our dining experiences are varied, expensive and traveled. In an establishment considered somewhat high end it was disconcerting . Experiencing this, next time we dine, we will do so where we are made to feel valued and welcomed .

What a marvellous find! Staying at this hotel for a few days dined at the restaurant here and everything and everyone is marvellous. Great food and service

This is not your typical hotel dining room. The Bistro is an incredible restaurant that happens to have a really nice hotel attached to it.

Ryan our server and V.C. the bartender, backed up by an amazing kitchen staff were absolutely wonderful. The food was beyond delicious. Duck the first night and Osso Bucco the second night were both fantastic. Bursting with flavor would be an understatement. This is honestly one of the best restaurants I've been to in the last 6 months.

The drinks were great and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend stopping by for an excellent meal!

I had a salad with shrimp and husband had the pea raviolis. The food was well prepared. Very overpriced even for this pricey community. The atmosphere was superb.

we didn't come here with high expectations due to it being in a hotel. We were blown away from the beverages, appetizers to the entrées to the desserts. everything was phenomenal. If there was more than five stars, I would give more than five stars love you. service and atmosphere were impeccable. one of the best meals we have had in years

Fabulous service from Ryan! We came a year ago and came back (from Chicago) to stay four days because of Ryan in the restaurant!
Ryan is very knowledgeable and professional did a great job of suggesting a wine and main courses. Opposite of that is ROBERT at the front desk, very aloof and unfriendly. We come in two evenings in a row, he was looking at his phone and did NOT even look up as we slowly walked by. (landscape version, which means probably watching a video) May as well be a wax person at the front desk, really awful first impression.
The chef Baron likes to come by to say “hi” not sure if he needed “stroking”, it’s ok in my opinion to stay in the kitchen and work your magic. Hopefully the new owners (Sept 24) will make a change from Robert at the front desk to someone more welcoming or dare I say awake

We’ve been vacationing this week in Woodstock and found 506 Bistro by searching Google. We are beyond lucky we found this place!

Honestly, this was by far the best meal we’ve had in the area, and probably one of the very best meals we’ve ever had. It’s that good!

I had the sea bass, my father had the scallops, and my mom had the short rib ravioli. We were all overly impressed with the presentation, great service by Ryan, and the flavors - everything was cooked to perfection and sooooo delicious! We’re bummed we didn’t find this place sooner!

Baron, the chef, is a master of his craft, and we’re looking forward to our next trip to the Woodstock area in the fall.

We were completely turned off. The person at the front seemed annoyed we wanted to sit at the bar then proceeded to talk with a regular about people in town. She had derogatory opinions about the place we were staying. Very negative vibes we didn’t end up eating there. Unprofessional to say the least.

We were staying at this inn and had high hopes for dinner here but it was a huge disappointment! My husband ordered a hamburger, which for $28 should have been nice thick, good quality meat. Instead, it was the quality of fast food ... very thin, low quality and not tasty.
I ordered the pecan crusted salmon, which was not fresh or moist ... it was very salty and somewhat dry.
Shame on this restaurant for charging what they did for a terrible meal!

(We paid similar for an amazing, delicious dinner at the Red Rooster in Woodstock.)

* UPDATE
I have to say that I was very impressed to have Nichole, the assistant manager, email me and refund the cost of our meals. She is also looking into the issue with our meals.

We had the Brie app, short rib and filet mains, and cheesecake for dessert. Every one of them was honestly amazing. The drinks and service by Ryan were also 10/10

We went to this restaurant and we were completely disappointed. The apps were good but the mains were terrible. Each burger was extremely over cooked and the salmon tasted like it was out of a can. The chef came over to the table to apologize, which was nice, but blamed the person he was training who cooked the meal. A $32 hamburger shouldn’t be a hockey puck with rotten lettuce.
