About Barnard Inn Restaurant

The Barnard Inn Restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere, whether in the pub or private room, with top-notch waitstaff and consistently excellent food. Vegetarian options are available with advance notice. Guests can enjoy delicious homemade dishes like the $53 fillet mignon, accompanied by friendly service. The restaurant provides a memorable experience with its outstanding food, drinks, and exceptional service.

The restaurant boasts a beautiful location with outdoor space and gardens. The food is very good and served hot, though some customers found it a little salty, and their steaks were overcooked. The vegetables, however, were cooked to perfection. The service was not as polished as one would expect, and the automatic "service fee" (20%) was not appreciated by all. Overall, the Barnard Inn Restaurant offers a great dining experience, especially for special occasions.

The Barnard Inn also runs a popular pop-up restaurant on Sundays and Mondays, where guests can enjoy an "Amazing Burger" in a classic beer garden atmosphere, with a beautiful garden backdrop, good music, and a relaxed vibe. Chef Will, who runs the reliable and delicious Inn, oversees the pop-up, which is open from 2 to 7 pm.

The Barnard Inn Restaurant is a great destination for those looking to enjoy delicious Vermont cuisine, especially after a day of skiing or snowboarding at Killington. The fillet mignon, priced at $53, is a standout dish, and the restaurant is known for its homemade food and friendly staff.

I got my first job ever when I was younger under Will. The amount of dedication I saw Will putting into his food and family and friends helped inspire me to have pride in myself and my job. He showed me that one way to show someone you care is through acts of service. He taught me to cook, and I would cook for my parents on birthdays and holidays. This place is a integral part of this community as far as I’m concerned, and I’m so grateful! Hope to make it back soon!

Memorable dinner at the Tavern! The small bites and lobster entree were exquisite!

Beautiful location, outdoor space, and gardens. Food very good - and hot when served - though a little salty and our steaks were overcooked. Vegetables cooked to perfection. Not a fan of automatic “service fee” (20%) Dinner was $150 - each - the service not as polished as one would expect. A table for two would have been appreciated (two of us were seated at a round table for four).
