“OMG!!! It had been soooo long!!! Nick's (we always called it Nick's Tavern back in the day) was - for better or for worse - the focal point of my social/exterior life forty-something years ago before, during, and after all the things that surrounded the eruption of St. Helens. I had not been back in the bar since my wife (who I first met in Nick''s so many years ago) and I moved away in 1987.

I really need to give a 5-star shoutout to the Nick's staff for the May 18 Forest Service get-together. The work of the Nick's staff on Sunday, May 18. 2025, was Just Simply Amazing....

...now, on to the review...

While I can't speak to the bar food quality between 1987( when I left the Amboy area) and now, nothing seems to have changed between the 80's (aka...back in the Good Ol' Days) and now. The burgers are excellent; my Chili Dog was delicious; the French fries for all the meals were exceptional; the Chili was Superb. Given the size of the crowd that descended on Nick's on a Sunday morning, the waitstaff on hand was simply incredible.”

“This is the best sushi Restaurant in Battle Ground. The food and service is unmatched by others. The Owner and staff here are super friendly and helpful. If you have kids, their outdoor patio is great for family get together.”

“I met a friend for dinner at the Pita House this evening and we had a GREAT experience! The owner/ staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and went over and above to ensure we had a great meal (an 11/ 10 for sure!!) The food was plentiful and delicious. I had the Pita House Special with chicken, and it was oh so good!!!! We even received a complimentary piece of baklava! I really cannot say enough good things about this place...I will definitely be back. Thank you!!”

“Stopped by here after Taekwondo one evening and we were not disappointed! My daughter and I loved the atmosphere, the service, and most importantly the food. We got our food to-go and it did not compromise the flavor or texture of anything at all. The side dishes of the Japchae, Kimchi, and Corn Slaw went so well with the main dishes. I cannot wait to come back for more of the chicken, and to try the rest of the menu!”

“Great food, they start of with the best salsa I've had at a restaurant. Then the staff is always attentive even when they are full of people. Service is very quick as well and everything tastes so fresh! Great place to be with amazing atmosphere.”

“The food was excellent, and so was the service. The fries are so crisp and cooked just right. They even have a great Greek menu! I had the chicken/hummus pita, which was delicious and the pita was soft, warm, and fresh. My husband, who is picky about his hamburgers, loved the one they serve here.”

“I think my hopes were too high for this place. The pizza reminded me of Little Caesar's pizza. Very doughy. I mean look how much it fluffs up after taking a bite. There is a pizza for everyone out there though. This just wasn't the one for me.

That being said, the meatball sub was pretty good and the shaded patio area in the back was nice enough. I would go back for a sandwich and the patio, but I'm hesitant to try the pizza again. Maybe I need to give the Detroit style a chance? This is probably the best pizza in BG, but there aren't many options.

I'm not trying to be critical... just honest. The staff were nice and efficient and they honor military there so that is a plus in my book! You'll have to go check it out for yourself to decide if it's for you 👍 Their box says IT'S THAT GOOD so you decide if it is...”

“Wonderful service and their brown sugar coffee is absolutely delicious! Best in town.

They placed just the right amount of tapioca (boba bubbles) to last during the whole drink. They are not too big, as to get stuck in the straw.

One thing I really appreciated is the amount of ice they placed in the cup was just the right amount.

Most other boba shops I've been to place too much ice to reduce the amount of drink they have to give, increasing their profit margin in exchange for the customer experiencing a diluted drink after the ice has melted.

5 star, triple A rating. Keep up the good work and may Jesus Christ bless you.”

The service is excellent every time (This is my third time here).
The atmosphere is warm, and relaxing with soft, quiet music playing in the background.

“Food was good. My tea was excellent however the young woman in the front never smiled and barely talked, no personality. The place is clean but the dead plant and the unkept front yard make this place not look very appealing. Could be really cute. Kind of sad because it wouldn’t take much work to clean it up. Owned a business for 27 years and I’d find a different position for your front girl and hire someone who is friendly. People come in for return business when they feel welcome.”
