Food is awful. The fish (fish and chips) is burnt, more batter than fish. Use to be really good, not now.

Our family wandered in after we arrived on the island our first day. The staff and patrons were super friendly. The snacks we ordered were tasty and we are looking forward to our first full meal there.

A good, chill restaurant. The place was calm, not crowded, and had a good, “neighborly” vibe. The food wasn’t anything to write home about, but it wasn’t bad either; it was better than a joint like that needed to be. They seemed to be training a new employee, and he did great getting everything right. He double checked our orders and asked about things we’d already said…but again…neighborly vibes / slow pace, no pressure.

Used to love this place and would go once a month when on the island. Even ordered take out to pick up all through COVID to try to support this small business. Went in for dinner and drinks on a Friday this month and had our “last straw” moment. Sat ourselves in the bar, menus on the table. Although it wasn’t too busy, none of the serving staff said hello or even acknowledged us. We made our food and drink decisions and finally-a gal came by the table. Before even talking to us she snatched the menus off the table and said “ let me get you the right menu, we stop serving dinner at 8:00”. I looked at my watch-it was 8:04. We’d been there almost 20 minutes. The bar menu was all fried food from the freezer…it was obvious they didn’t want us ordering dinner, despite our having gotten there in time to do so. So-we saved $100 plus the $20 tip and went home for grilled cheese. The combination of being ignored and then snapped at made it an easy decision. Too much stress in life to pay someone to treat you cruddy.
