We went to Mount Rainier Base Camp on two separate occasions during a long weekend at the Mount Rainier National Park. Our Friday night meal was two fresh delicious wrap sandwiches and a local beer. We had hoped to catch the USAs first World Cup soccer match, but no TV was available. (Normally I would not care about tv access). We sat with a guy who had the game on his phone- he was waiting a l-o-o-o-ng time for his pizza. There's only one pizza oven, so be patient people....
Came here after hiking all day at Rainier. We came specifically for the pizza, burgers and fries we saw in basically every review photo that wasn’t alcohol. However when we got there there was no pizza and no fries. So we each got a burger and then I got the clam chowder… well that’s what it was called on the menu. It was honestly so thick you had to chew it and smelled completely of bacon. Honestly the grossest thing I’ve ever ate and days...
We were in Ashford this past weekend celebrating my birthday, and the rain decided to join the party! We took the family to Rainier BaseCamp for lunch, and it turned out to be the perfect rainy-day spot. The covered outdoor seating and beautiful fire pit kept everyone warm and dry while creating a welcoming atmosphere to relax and meet new people.
