Arrived around 6 PM on a Sunday, no wait/reservation needed at the time. Very relaxed atmosphere, a little loud in the main eating area by the bar, but we were able to be seated in the back area. Outside seating available with heaters, but heaters were not on at the time we were there. Servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to help. Food was delicious with perfect portion sizes. We chose the spicy truffle wontons, ribeye beef pho, and the bun chai hanoi, everything was delicious but I preferred the hanoi. Loved everything about this place! Recommend 10/10.

Ba Sa is one of my favorite restaurants on the island! I am a local and it is always a treat going to Ba Sa for my favorite entrees. I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered here but I especially love the prawn noodle dish.

I am never disappointed by the fare, the service, or the vibe. Delicious food with depth, quality ingredients, and served with so much creativity and care. The cocktails here are yummy also!!

There were flies everywhere, the service was slow, and the tables were sticky. The food took 30 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, the flavor was overwhelmed by sweet sauce. On top of that, everything was overpriced for no clear reason.

This restaurant has changed from last year. The recipes aren’t quite as good. It used to be my favorite on the island and now it’s just okay. I’m so disappointed

This place used to be great about a year ago, but my last visit was a disaster.
One of our dishes came out with such a strong detergent/chemical taste that it was completely inedible. When we brought it up to our server, instead of apologizing or offering to replace it, we were told the flavor was “expected” and that “laksa sometimes tastes like that.” We’ve had both laksa and coriander plenty of times — this was not that. Gaslighting your customers into thinking they just don’t understand food is not a good look.
Our baguette side never arrived, even after asking again. It showed up on the bill.
The duck salad, which used to be fantastic, was dry, overcooked, and disappointing.
Sad to see such a steep decline in both food and service.

I found this restaurant through Rednote since so many posts said it was amazing. But honestly, it didn’t live up to the hype — just so-so. The crab roll had a very complicated flavor and didn’t taste fresh.

Spicy truffle wonton: dang this is amazing! Not really spicy, but definitely has the truffle taste, and the wonton has a slightly sweet doughy taste I think that works really well with the truffle. The skin isn’t too thick either. That sauce is definitely the highlight.
Short rib stir fry turmeric noodle: noodles were actually pretty decent. Short ribs are tender as well, but pretty much what you would expect.
Lemongrass lamb: kinda reminds me of the Chinese cumin lamb dish. It’s very spicy, definitely pair with the side veggies and vermicelli. I think this was my least favorite among everything we got
Chili prawn noodle: noodle wasn’t as good as the one in the short rib dish, but I absolutely love the prawns. It’s so crispy and perfectly seasoned
Ube pana cotta: so tiny but so good. There’s chunks of Ube at the bottom an

Food was alright, lackluster but pretty presentation. Not a whole bunch of flavor and almost no spices. The whole atmosphere was off, just didn’t feel friendly or inviting. We sat for almost an hour before we had our orders taken. A few things were never brought to us, and even in bringing it up, we were still charged for said items that never came out. We paid in cash and left a decent tip considering we saw the waiter maybe three times (he came to take the order, gave us the check, and then again when he “gave” us the change back). He was decently attentive to the tables around us, just not ours. He said he would “be back with change” we said no need. A few minutes later the change and tip were slammed back onto the table in front of us. He clearly did not consider it “good enough” so we exchanged it for a larger bill in the same amount and left. Likely will not be back, personally i couldn’t get out of there fast enough
