4.5 stars - overall reasonably priced with great food and atmosphere.Recommend:Softshell crabs - did a great job on keeping the crispness without infusing too much oilRib stew - tender and flavory. Used sweet potato instead of common potatoes. If the rice is less sticky, they’d be perfect together.-0.5 for the fried shrimp noodle — shrimps are fresh and chewy (in a good way) but I couldn’t taste the sea with that much seasoning. I understand the bak choy is a good balance for salty noodles and shrimps, but they don’t quite go together.

TLDR; Would ideally give 10 stars. Absolutely brilliant food! Flavors are so so spot on, and for how good the seafood is, the prices are exceptionally affordable. We did put our names on the waitlist through Yelp, which I recommend because there was a 25 minute wait. The table did get ready for us earlier though.Drinks: oxacan old fashioned, passionfruit lemondropFood: soft shell crab roll, mushroom pho, fire roasted clamsDessert: Cheese and pear panna cottaRecommend absolutely everything we ordered. Not one this was out of place, I’m amazed by just how good the food here is.Vegetarian options: Very few options but they are really very good. If you like mushrooms, then definitely don’t skip this place.Parking: You’re bound to find parking within a 2 block range.

Delicious food! We started with the JoJos that were perfectly seasoned and paired with a fantastic aioli, and the beef pho was phenomenal—honestly no dressings needed! Perfect for our afternoon stop, and would come back for a luscious dinner and a fantastic dessert!

Mostly greasy food, didn’t enjoy the veggie or beef noodles, spicy truffle dumplings are tasty if you really like

Was here on a busy sunny day on Bainbridge island. The moment I stepped in, the service was everything. The person on front desk was extremely friendly and immediately made the experience. The food was great. We shared the jojos, chicken buns and calamari. All of the food was fresh and hot. The calamari in particular was perfection! I wish I could taste a little more of the chilli but I like spicy. Overall the perfect spot for lunch if you find yourself on Bainbridge island. Would come back just to go to BaSa!

Cocktails were 5 star -- creative, unique, delicious! Food was 4 star-- soft shell crab roll was Bomb! Service was 1-2 star -Server really never came back to check on us. Almost finished the entire meal with no beverage refill including water. Went to the bar to order our own wine which still didn't come out until we were done eating. The cocktail never came out at all and when we told him to cancel it that we were done he said "what are you guys in a hurry?". Which we weren't, but we were done eating. Then he brought the bill and charged us for that second cocktail anyways. Review average came out to a three star. Flavor combinations were delicious, just wished the elements had combined to make a better dining experience.

This food is absolutely fantastic. Truly memorable. 2 things stood out in considering this review, and it would have been a single star if the food wasn't so great!: 1. The service was pretty terrible. We were trying to figure out the last time we had such poor service and could not come up with an answer. 2. There is a 5% service charge retained by the restaurant. I am very pro service charges when they go to staff, especially kitchen staff, or to pay for benefits this is just a 5% service charge added to your bill with no warning and is retained by the establishment. Id love to eat this food again but never will because of the two items outlined above n

Nice restaurant the wontons were good but the bahn mi wasn't the best we prefer more traditional bahn mi.

The host that I talked to on the phone was WONDERFUL. She was extremely patient with me as I kept calling to change my time of arrival and was very happy to accommodate. This was my only good experience with the restaurant and reason for getting 2 stars rather than 1. I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend who has to eat gluten-free due to a severe allergy. We made sure to let our waiter know about this dietary restriction when we ordered and they assured us that the items we ordered could be made without gluten. When the food came out, it was accompanied by multiple sauces that contained gluten. We were not warned of this and my girlfriend ended up having a reaction to the gluten on our drive home where she struggled to breathe. On top of the contamination, we felt the food was just alright considering the price point. We will not return to Ba Sa.

Every dish we had here was made to perfection. The sauces were very flavorful and paired perfectly with each dish. This restaurant is a unicorn on Bainbridge island, it's definitely a must try place if you're on the island. The owner is super sweet and cares deeply about the quality of her dishes. The specialty cocktails are amazing here. We tried several of them and all of them were so tasty! The service is super great here. Very attentive staff, friendly, and caters to your every need. They are opening a new restaurant in capital hill called Ramie and they made us a few dishes they will feature there that are not on the BaSa menu. I can't wait to try Ramie when it owns May of 2024!!!

The staff is kind and food is incredible. Do not sleep on appetizers as they are epic. I love that it is a cozy community inspired place.

The wait was long but the food was delicious, and the service once seated was great! Everything we ordered was really tasty.
