Fish and lobster rolls are good, but the fries are terrible. I thought I liked all fries, I've never met one I didn't like until Proper Fish. It would be great if they would offer side options like a soup, potato salad, side salad or even bags of chips.
Nice place to get English style fish & chips at reasonable prices. 🇬🇧
Place is busy in the summer and a little hard to find a seat at peak times even with the seating in the bar area.
Definitely worth a visit and a day trip to Winslow's whymisical shops!

The best fish and chips I’ve had! Crispy batter and the tartar sauce is unique and delicious. Because Bainbridge island is tourist heavy… this place and Proper fish is a small business it’s constantly busy. We waited 50 min after placing our order but it was delicious and worth the wait. My 16 year old son also agreed. We’ll be returning. Just get to e fish and chips. Don’t bother with the lobster roll or the fish sandwich.
