Rolling Bay Winery was a fun stop on our visit to Bainbridge. The atmosphere inside was lively and busy, and the wines we tried were tasty. Prices were very fair as well.
Such an eclectic and personal experience. No pomp and circumstance, just a love of the wine and the process paired with a true joie de vivre. Do not come here if you’re looking for a corporate Napa-like atmosphere. Come here if you love good wine and true character.
Very enjoyable visit with Mr de Klerk during our wine tour. Many tasty varieties of whites, rose & reds.
If you’re looking for a true authentic experience on Bainbridge Island, visiting Rolling Bay Winery is simply a must! Our little group of four spontaneously stopped by last Saturday & decided to join in on the wine tasting. My personal favorite was the Chardonnay. Beyond the tasty wines, we were lucky enough to have Alphonse give us a tour of the barn where most of the production takes place. We learned a ton about their business, the process of making wine, & shared many laughs. Would highly recommend checking it out & definitely plan on returning in the future!
Great conversation and wonderful little winery in the International District of Bainbridge Island!
Decent wine ruined by an uncomfortable experience. When we arrived, an older gentleman came out of the back room immediately wanting payment before the tasting began. While we were seated in the tasting room he continuously leered at us from behind a coat rack. Other older patrons were also staring at us. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable the entire time. I don’t recommend this winery for island visitors. There are many other better options like Eagle Harbor or Perennial Vintners.
Excellent wine and fantastic service. My wife and I had a wonderful (and lengthy) conversation with Alphonse about his winemaking.
Amazing wine and a lovely environment, I’ll sure to be back anytime I’m on the island.
Super cute spot! The owner really made us feel welcome by coming to our table to check in on us. Highly recommend trying the Nine Sisters wine.
I would visit this location again for sure. Purchasing in store and meeting their very friendly professional staff is much better than ordering online. Thanks to Alphonse, Tim & co. I will see you again for another great wine tasting next time we're in the area

The best outdoor low key spot with the only winery in the state where I literally like ALL their wines. Come have a glass (or tasting) and let the kids hang!
There is a restaurant that claims its customers are family, but Rolling Bay actually does give that feeling. I expected to be plunked down at a table with some plonk, but I got a personal tasting complete with the story of the terroir of each vintage. It was a no-brainer to join their wine club. They even recommended that I join at the introductory level until I learned about their wines instead of immediately up-selling. The experience alone was worth the drive from Tacoma.
Great visit, great tasting wines. Got a chance to tour with the winemaker, very informative.
Very nice wines. It's not every day that you enjoy all the wines you sample but here you do.
Cute, cozy tasting room for a chilly day on the island. Great wine! Highly recommend this stop! Also there was a very cute outdoor space for nicer weather.
