It's closed, shut, kaput, shuttered, out of business, done. Permanently. Phone number goes to a tapas place.

The Saffron Bistro is a very small restaurant located in the Pavilion on the first floor. The food is everything you could want in a Mediterranean restaurant. It is wonderful! We all had something different and were pleasantly surprised with not a single small complaint. The staff were very friendly. I highly recommend Saffron.

The food was delicious. I talked with the owner, Osmar. He said they make nearly everything fresh, including the pumpkin soup I had, which was rich, smooth, and hearty. Some things he gets prepared off-site by "a Greek lady," including the super- soft pita bread and the amazing baklava.I had a classic gyro. It was the best gyro I've ever had. It came with fries that were thin sliced and lightly seasoned. No need for catsup or sauces! They even make their own salad dressing for the Greek salad my husband ordered. We had our food to go, but there are places to eat inside with Mediterranean decor items around the room. And be sure to check out the extensive wine collection from all over the world, especially--of course--the Mediterranean.Vegetarian options: Soups, salads, spanacopitaParking: Saffron is in the Pavilion, so you can park in the Pavilion parking lot.

Our family has become semi-regulars here! The food is fantastic, with lots of choices and good prices. A tasty staple to have here on the island. We were initially concerned by some of the reviews but have found that our experiences have all been very positive. The butter chicken, and masala paneer were particularly good, I would highly recommend checking them out!

Saffron is a hidden gem - the food is absolutely amazing - in my opinion the quality of the flavors is on par with that of a MUCH higher priced/higher profile restaurant. The chef is a true artist with his craft - trained by the best - and since it's a smaller establishment, many times you'll end up having a nice conversation with the owner/chef who will wander over to your table to see how things are going. It's clear he loves what he does. The wait service is generally good, relaxed & unhurried as a good restaurant should be. Brassy, hyper-punctual corporate style service it is not, which I actually find endearing and refreshing. So anyway, that's my take on Saffron, one of my favorite restaurants in the PNW. Go check it out. It's one of the reasons I come to Bainbridge every so often.

This is the best delivery dinner I have had during covid. Delicious prawn risotto, and the Caesar salad so fresh and crispy. Prompt delivery. Thank you!!

We've ordered a couple times and the food is okay. Not stellar, but not hugely bad either. Via Doordash, we ordered the dinner for two plus a side of gyro meat and actually had enough to share with our 7 year-old daughter along with some leftovers.I recommend leveling up the Greek salad... the best ones I've had before had a nice tangy dressing, larger chunks of feta (or even better... herbed feta), cucumbers, tomatoes, and a Kalamata olives. The salad we received had a milky dressing that wasn't very tangy, no cukes, tomatoes, no olives. The hummus was pretty good and very garlicky.
