I often stop by The Marketplace during my work lunch breaks or on a Saturday afternoon, and it’s always a treat. Their chicken pita dish is delicious, and the side of baklava makes for the perfect sweet finish. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and inviting — a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal or a bottle of wine. I highly recommend spending some time in this delightful establishment. A special thank you to Nikos and Alexis for their outstanding hospitality!

If you offer wifi, please have wifi that consistently works. Many of the tables are wobbly. Can't comment on food as I just got tea.
Super friendly staff. The perfect pitstop for my bike ride around Bainbridge! I'll definitely visit again. ☺️🙌

just a warning. they no longer have avocado toast.
They really upped their game since the new management took over. Food is extremely consistent and the service is wonderful.

Soups, sandwiches, and wine at this cute little counter-service eatery. On a nice day, this is a lovely place to enjoy a glass and have a sandwich. Sadly, the sandwiches just weren't that good; the grilled cheese was soggy rather than crispy, and the ham and brie weren't what you would expect, being somewhat smooshed flat. Go for the wine, skip the sandwiches, or try one of the other restaurants.

Very cute place with outdoor seating and friendly staff. However, they have 1 vegan option on the menu, avocado toast. When I went try to order it, I was told it was no longer an option (even though it's still on the board). Then my partner ordered a breakfast burrito and paid for it but after some time he was told they were actually out. He chose a sandwich instead with no meat, so they offered to put avocado on it. So they have toast.. and avocados... but no avocado toast? Then as he's finishing his sandwich, they bring him another..? because there wasn't communication? Strange visit here.

Beautiful, clean restaurant, nice portions for the price and nice and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. They are very allergy friendly.

Unbelievable. I used to come here to get a nice large BLT that came on delicious sourdough bread that didn’t have hair included. And now for $20 after tax and tip, you can get a poorly sized sandwich on basic bread, with a pickle (under the chips) that comes with a hair on it?
Last trip here that I’ll be making.
this place just came under management of the former owners of the lovely Shop Agora in Seattle - everything is going Greek now and it’s fantastic. All the wines improved, great Greek food options now- hoping for outdoor fun this summer

The new owners previously owned Shop Agora in Seattle, which is one of the best Greek and European food stores. And the owners have brought that same spirit to the Marketplace. Incredible wines, delicious falafel, and perfect Halloumi fries. Couldn’t be happier to have them in the neighborhood 🙌🏻
Under new ownership the Market Place is alive and thriving again 🙌 providing a family focused gathering space with great food, personable service and genuine hospitality. A menu with something for everyone I highly recommend the avocado toast with pickled onions and fresh greens. My group of meat eaters enjoyed the breakfast option on thier choice if Cresent and sourdough.
We plan to make this a regular thing!
Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

This place is really great under new stewardship. The food is great, especially...everything! Today I had a falafel which was perfect. It can be hard to order falafels in other places because they're often greasy & overcooked, but not here.
The food is authentic Greek (as is one of the owners!). Will definitely be back!

I grew up on the island and the marketplace has always been a staple of the local restaurant scene. I’m back from break for a couple of days and stopped in to see how it’s changed. The owners and employees really make you feel welcome in the space and I would highly recommend trying the flying pig sandwich special. Newly added to the menu, it holds an essence of flavor and creativity that I’ve been looking for for some time. Thank you Tim for the recommendation, I’ll definitely be back soon.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch on a very rainy day here today. We live on the island and have dined here a few times, but today was a pleasant day, as we met the new owner, Nikko! He took the time to come to our table and ask how everything was. How refreshing! John at the front counter was also very helpful and friendly.
I had a gyro pita, and my husband had the Flying Pig sandwich(?) Both were delicious!
We are really excited to see what the new owners do with this space, the food, the entertainment, and the wine bar and regular bar (open from 3-9 pm). The Marketplace has some new Mediterranean additions to the menu, and they have a nicely stocked fridge full of delicious Greek food like pita bread, feta cheese, etc.
If you haven't been here in a while, it's worth a visit--plus, the beautiful tulips should be blooming soon, and that's a not-to-miss opportunity to dine al fresco!
