Amazing food and great local service. I love this place
The ceviche was excellently done with fresh ingredients and crispy plantain chips. The crab enchilada was like slipping into a warm bath and I've never had rice and beans seasoned so well! The skirt steak tacos were tender and scrumptious but my hat was off to the house made habanero salsa. I had to add an 8 ounce jar to my order so i could have some later. I think no other reviewer has mentioned Sunday brunch. It is wonderful! The cuisine is of course the same well-executed high end Mexican as always with an extensive and creative drinks menu as well. Service is friendly and attentive. This restaurant compares well with the best that Bainbridge has to offer.

Raíces Cocina & Bar offers delicious and creative high-end Mexican food with a real family vibe. Guests highlight the Arrachera steak, served tender and pink, with beans containing carrots and other vegetables. The tacos de pibil feature big chunks of pork with ground chicharrones on homemade corn tortillas. Other popular dishes include the shrimp taco, best mole enchiladas, mahi mahi Baja bowl, Pozole, chicken flautas, and carnitas michoacanas. The cocktails are delicious and unique, with margaritas available. Service is excellent and attentive, with the owner often checking on tables. The food is phenomenal, though some note it is surprisingly expensive, with starters in the $12-20 range, entrees $30-38, and margaritas $18. Located south of the ferry on Bainbridge Island, parking is easy and convenient. This is a must-see spot only 15 minutes from the main downtown area, offering a great experience with fantastic presentation and friendly staff.
