The Belfair Safeway has a good selection of pre-made and ready to-go sandwiches, salads, and other deli items. I stopped here to get something between a snack and a meal and found one of their half sandwiches did the job of filling me up to hold me over until dinner perfectly. This was a stop in mid afternoon with a dinner in the evening. Aisles and entrances were clearly marked with expectations and instructions for shopping and adhering to social distancing to reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19. Service was warm and efficient.

the delli is horrible had to wait over 20 minutes to get chicken around noon then they didn't have time to help me I stood in line while they went to the bath room and then came and waited on someone else so I couldn't pay for it so I threw the chicken in the basket and walked back won't be shopping there any more

I give it 5 stars, of course, because I work there. Of course I realize that, like any other place of business, which employs so many different people, flaws do exist. As an employee, who has to deal with a large volume of people each and every day, for hours at a time, I only ask for a little understanding. I was searching for a bakery to do a simple small white cake with different shades of blue frosting in Shelton and found bakers were less than willing to do it. I went to the Safeway bakery and met Julia who was thrilled to be of assistance. She was so helpful that we even expanded the order. Love love love how sweet and knowledgeable Julia is.

I go to Belfair QFC over this Safeway, and every time I go to this Safeway I am reminded exactly why that is. They have a very limited selection of brands when it comes to a lot of their products. It's always Safeway Brand and only one other to choose from, so there is No Variety really. They also removed the "self check out" lanes recently and replaced them with "12 items or less" ... "Speedy Checkout" lanes that are always the longest line now. It went from 4 different check outs being available at any given time down to only 1 a majority of the time.

Another cake from the bakery department but this one TASTES LIKE METAL. A chocolate birthday cake that tastes like metal....and frosting. Is that scary, or what?!?! Finally some decent staffing in numbers, there's always people in Safeway garb goofing off outside the offices and out where they smoke. The flowers have a good selection and good balloon stuff. Probably the best in town for year round flowers and fluff... it's on the expensive side though. But after seeing the refrigerated items waiting and waiting to be stocked, the flies wrapped in the cellophane on the meats, having to watch expiration dates of stuff coming off the shelf???? Flowers are all you got going for you at this Safeway.
