Since we had to bring our cakes to the San Juan Islands, they partially froze them to ensure they traveled well and even arranged for an early pickup so we could make our ferry — that kind of attention to detail and care was so appreciated.

And the cakes themselves? Absolutely stunning and unbelievably good. The carrot pineapple cake was my personal favorite and ended up being a huge hit with our guests. Every flavor we chose was beautiful to look at and even better to eat.

The cake part, which was lemon flavor, was the perfect physical equivalent of the image that appears in my mind when I think of a cupcake - light, soft, airy, delicious - like eating a cloud that was turned into cake!
