“As a Thai person, I can confidently say this place truly pays homage to tradition. You can immediately tell how much care goes into every cup— they actually hand-pull their tea, which is such a beautiful touch and not something you see often anymore.

The flavor is rich, bold, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness — exactly how authentic Thai tea should taste.

Beyond the drink itself, the overall experience feels nostalgic and genuine, almost like being back in Thailand. “If you're someone who's a fan of coconut water or coconut in your desserts, then this place should definitely be on your list. This is such a cooling dessert to have, especially in summers. It was my first time here and the lady at the counter was really kind in explaining the different things they had on their menu. The place has decent number of tables to sit as well. I tried the Double Coconut and Peach Oolong. The double coconut was my favorite. Will definitely go back for more!“

“I finally caved and tried Crumbl Cookies, and I can definitely see why they're so popular. I picked up a 4-pack to try a few of their weekly flavors, including the classic Milk Chocolate Chip, a Lemon Cheesecake cookie, and two others I can't even remember the names of now!
The first thing that hits you is the size. These things are massive and definitely meant to be shared (or eaten over a couple of sittings!). The texture is their standout feature—they're incredibly soft and chewy, almost like they're slightly underbaked in the center, which I personally loved.
My favorite of the bunch was surprisingly the Lemon Cheesecake. The cookie base was a solid sugar cookie, but the tangy lemon frosting and the crumble topping really made it pop. It was a nice break from the ultra-sweet flavors. Speaking of which, the classic Milk Chocolate Chip was good, but it was just so overwhelmingly sweet. The chocolate was a bit much for me, and after a few bites, I was done.“

I'll be honest... I accidentally took the wrong turn in Seattle and took the 520 toll bridge LOL!!! I thought, eh, I'm already going to Bellevue, let's get some matcha. I chose Café Joy as I knew there would be plentiful public library parking. FWIW, I used to work in Bellevue so I know all of the best parking areas

Anyway, I visited on a very sunny Saturday early afternoon. The doors were open, revealing an already pretty packed establishment. Albeit, ample room for some to study or catch up with a friend. The menu was filled with many eye-catching items. I noticed they had a corn latte, so I asked the worker if it was possible to do a that with matcha instead of coffee. He suggested I order a regular matcha latte (sweetened) and then he'd add corn cold foam. Good idea! He did a really great job making the drink-- the color itself was vibrant and the taste was refreshing... most importantly, not too sweet

I'd definitely recommend this place-- next time it won't be on the whim of taking the wrong exit LOL!!

“Macarons are a favorite food of mine. I’ve tried many macarons from many places. Those other macarons do not hold a candle to Lady Yum’s. Their macarons are actually on my top 10 list of favorite foods of all time. They make my soul happy. My husband picks me up some every time he travels to Seattle and although I miss him when he travels…I’m also kinda happy when he goes because he gets me treats from there.“

“Somisomi was an interesting experience. The desserts are delicious. The taiyaki is good. The ice cream is soft and creamy and not too sweet. We really enjoyed the flavors!

Unfortunately the shop itself is very odd, there's no AC and no indoor seating though it is relatively spacious. The service was mediocre. Overall I enjoyed the dessert so I'd come back for it.“

“We got the Piggy Bar. It was a great amount of icy dessert and I am definitely glad I had someone to help me finish. Very sweet. Tastes good and the price isn’t crazy high. I don’t think it was more than $15. Good price for a two person dessert!“
