I was expecting something more punch with flavor since it's a fusion, but it's actually refreshingly light. Definitely leans more Japanese than Mexican, but I think this is the right fit. Everything blends really well. I had Mexican ninja roll, pork belly tacos, man mountain sake, and miso soup. Pictures is only the tacos, sorry I was hungry 😅
So, we are locals and have been coming to Japonessa for a long time. We recently met Tiffany, who is the most caring and approachable bartender we have met. As everyone knows, your service makes or breaks a dining experience. She is so smart too talked about a lot of tech topics. Do not lose Tiffany!! ,
We’ve been coming here for over ten years & it’s one of our all time favorite sushi restaurants. They don’t use imitation crab & use real crab meat. Their rolls and sauces are all fantastic. Our go to’s are the Madrid Moon, Skin on Skin, Salmon tartare, agedashi tofu, calamari— I could go on forever. We also love the service, Momo & Hugo are terrific. They always go above & beyond.
