About La Potra Taqueria

La Potra Taqueria is considered one of the best places to eat at Crossroads Mall, known for its great service and friendly staff. The owner and employees are appreciated for making customers feel welcome. The restaurant offers solid Mexican food with generous portions that are worth the price. Popular dishes include pastor, carnitas, and chorizo street tacos, which are praised for their good tortillas, plenty of onion, cilantro, and lime, along with flavorful salsa verde. Many customers enjoy the quick, delicious service and feel it provides good value for money.

However, experiences can vary. While some customers have been regulars for a year, enjoying consistent orders and friendly service, others have faced issues. On some visits, the staff appears stressed and overwhelmed, especially during lunch rushes. There have been reports of poor attitude, impatience, and lack of menu knowledge from certain staff members, which can negatively impact the dining experience. Specific complaints include under-portioned tripa tacos with less meat and old-looking limes, despite good flavor. Service quality is inconsistent, with some staff members being friendly and efficient, while others seem angry and rushed, sometimes treating requests like asking for a receipt as a problem.

Overall, La Potra Taqueria offers tasty Mexican food in a lively mall setting, with friendly service from some and inconsistent experiences from others. It remains a popular spot for those craving flavorful tacos and a welcoming atmosphere.

The food and portions are definitely worth the price you pay.
I love Mexican food, so I was excited to visit this restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience on Saturday at around 1:00 PM was disappointing.

The staff appeared to be having difficulty handling the lunch rush and stress. The cashier who took my order stood out for the wrong reasons, including:

* Poor attitude
* Impatience
* Lack of menu knowledge
* Lack of attention to detail

In addition, the tripa taco was under-portioned and contained noticeably...read full review
