Peony Kitchen is one of my favorite lunch spots in Bellevue. We stopped in for lunch today and had another great experience. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was excellent as always.

They offer great lunch specials for around $15 per person, making it a great value for the quality and portion sizes. Everything came out quickly, which is perfect when you’re on a lunch break or just looking for a relaxed, enjoyable...

For the price, the food was decently good and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I don’t think the level of service was quite up to par with what I’d expect from a restaurant like this. We left feeling a bit odd because the waiter made some jokes that didn’t quite sit right. Nothing offensive, but also not very nice. I’m sure it’s not typical as the other reviews of this place are great, so it could just have been a one off.

I had great expectations before coming here and was hoping for the best from this neighborhood restaurant. Unfortunately, after trying several dishes we came away feeling they lacked flavor and character. Sadly, no special food memory was created. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎
