We come all the way from Tacoma to get the banquettes and gluten free cinnamon rolls. Great consistency, texture, and flavor. Highly recommend. Worth the trip.
I am deeply upset about numerous instances of rude and inappropriate behavior towards Native and Black customers while noticing white customers are always treated friendly and with quick service. It’s especially harmful to be discriminatory to youth of color. What is this? Just cause it’s Ballard people of color aren’t welcome?
It’s too bad, because there aren’t many gluten-free bakeries in Seattle, but racism is never okay.
Customer service here was abhorrent. I observed two customers who are Native presenting and Black presenting were ignored by the counter server, while white customers were greeted with smiles and service. The young girl, Black presenting, had a small kitten in her backpack, and when the counter server saw this, she snapped at the young girl making her cry. Based on customer reviews, this shop offers amazing gluten free bread and products, including French bread loaf, Italian pasta, cakes, pizzas, cinnamon rolls, focaccia, cookies, and herby bread rolls. The cake and pizza are exceptional. The cinnamon rolls are out of this world. The smell of freshness hugs you when you arrive. The people are very nice, helpful, and informative. The attention and service of the employees are excellent. The person who works there is super funny, friendly, and always helpful. The delivery is fast and a huge bonus. Ordering online is a breeze, and all ingredients are listed. Although the store is a bit off the beaten path, it is well worth driving there. If you cannot eat gluten, this is a dream come true. It is hard not to get greedy from the excitement. Highly recommend I Can’t Believe it’s Bread!
