I’m pretty confused by all the negative reviews here. These cupcakes are the best I have ever had.
A couple reviews compare this to pure bliss. I like pure bliss too, but a big part of the appeal is sitting down, getting a coffee etc.
Icing on the Cake is going to give you the best cake you can buy, and send you on your way. If you have to wait a few minutes, it will be worth it.

Thought I'd try it again after several years but it seems nothing has chamged.The cupcakes were SO small and really gross... like a brick. I didn't serve them at my little get together because they were stale, hard and nothing special. (Insted, I bought a whole cake, which was much less expensive at Pure Bliss and it was devine, with leftovers.) Really disappointed, especially because they were very expensive. Sad lady behind the counter, too. Sad experience.

Colorful selection and V is a sweetheart. Would recommend to friends. There is a parking spot out front, sometimes people park there by mistake. No worries.
Parked in their pickup parking to pickup some cupcakes. The only person in shop took 10 mins to help us (5 min parking for pickup orders). Left the bakery with a bad taste in my mouth only to come out to a big sticker on my driver's side window (unsafe) telling me that my car will be towed. In short save your money and go get a desert that won't disappoint at Pure Bliss a few blocks away.

We had the pleasure of visiting this place last night after our date night, and it was an incredible experience! The service was excellent, and the staff were super friendly, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The German chocolate cookies were absolutely amazing—rich, decadent, and full of flavor. We also tried the raspberry cake-filled treat, and it was just as delicious. Both desserts were a hit! We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great service and delectable treats.

I've tried everyone in downtown Bellingham and Icing on the cake makes the best desserts. They always have an interesting selection of cupcakes. If you like chocolate, you should try the ding dong! The owner has always been very sweet and has been quick to make up for any mistakes. This is a very small, woman owned business and I'm happy to support them whenever my sweet tooth gets the best of me.

Everything I have ever gotten here is delicious and high quality. Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, custard - you can tell how much work and skill goes into them. We got our wedding cake there 5 years ago, and it was both beautiful and sooo good. We have come back every year for a special anniversary treat and it never disappoints!
Ignore the haters below, no business should get dinged for putting up with harassment and entitlement. The owner is very sweet and provides excellent service.

Do not patron this business. They are overpriced and terrible to work with. They messed up my order, which ruined my event. Then they demanded that I pay for their mistake. The owner is disrespectful and hostile. I think she needs to find a new line of work. Bellingham deserves better businesses than Icing on the Cake.

2nd visit. I continue to be shocked by the exorbitant prices for desserts like simple cupcakes. The counter help in both visits were quirky and diffident at best. The desserts advertised on their website don’t exist in the store (in person). Never returning that is for sure.
