Cool little cafe in a beautiful historical building downtown. Great pastries, breakfast bagel, and london fog. A wonderful small business I'm glad I got to help support today. Fair warning, Shirley has the vibe of a barista raised by old-school tattoo artists. Tell her what you want, she'll make it, don't expect a peppy smiley dutch bros girl.
Stopped in for espresso/breakfast while in town for work and I can’t speak highly enough of this gem. Shirlee talked about the building and sent me on a ghost hunt while she made my breakfast. Will be starting my days in Bellingham “giving the Bird” from now on. 11/10
Shirlee from Shirlee bird is a delight! She makes all her pastries from scratch. The breakfast burrito with bacon is awesome, especially for the price point! Coffee smells wonderful and she knows her way around an espresso machine. Her store front is very quaint, petite, and open. There is no indoor seating but there is a few spots outdoor and I believe there is also space inside the building for you to sit and enjoy your beverage/food. Dog friendly.
