“We went to Amaro Bistro during Seattle Restaurant Week. My burrata antipasto was very tasty. The braised pork shank was tender and excellent. The panna cotta dessert was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food and the Cuvee B Red Blend was also great!“

“What a breath of fresh air-RESPITE to say the least! We stepped into another world entirely, of beautiful folx and bottles. The wine was divine and the charcuterie couldn’t have made a fool of me! The evening light filtered onto our sticky fingers and toothy grins, as we drank our sorrows away and pondered the point of this crazy thing we call life.

What a rush! I felt valued, seen, and objectified in the best way possible.

“Loved, loved, LOVED this place! The gentleman and lady that served us were both spectacular and very good and making there rounds between what was a packed room. I really enjoyed getting to converse with both through out our visit. The wine was amazing as we tasted various whites and reds. Not sure what the deal was with puppies being in there with other customers but loved the fur babies too! If your a social butterfly I think you’ll love this atmosphere, so get over to Market Vineyards!“

“Macarons are a favorite food of mine. I’ve tried many macarons from many places. Those other macarons do not hold a candle to Lady Yum’s. Their macarons are actually on my top 10 list of favorite foods of all time. They make my soul happy. My husband picks me up some every time he travels to Seattle and although I miss him when he travels…I’m also kinda happy when he goes because he gets me treats from there.“

This place is bit distant from the center of Capitol Hill that it was quiet, which I enjoyed very much.

Me and my company tried flights; tasted 4 different wines. The manager explained every bottle of wine nice and in detail. Overall, it was a great experience.“

“I was in town for a special event, I haven't been here before and was amazed with every aspect of my experience. our server Charles was utterly fabulous. he was very knowledgeable, thoughtful and prompt. he made it feel like we were old friends. the steaks were perfectly cooked. I am 4 and 1/2 years sober, and to go out and enjoy an exquisite meal and only drink water can be a drag, but you all had an amazing selection of mocktails, my partners and I enjoyed immensely. It's a great space, good wine, good non-alcoholic options and wonderful people. The owner is also fantastic and friendly and will probably beat you in a Commander game. The environment is relaxed, casual yet classy and I highly recommend for wine and/or Magic.“

We had a 25-person private reception in the back outdoor patio area, and from the beautiful space to the delicious food, it was a truly special experience. Aaron accommodated our requests for some customizations in decor, and took into account all of our food and dietary restrictions beautifully. Even though Surrell specializes in multi-course tasting menus, we chose to do a family-style dinner and it worked out perfectly. Our guests absolutely loved every dish (especially the hors d'oeuvres!), and we appreciate how attentive and friendly the staff were throughout the night. “EDIT*** Manager reached out and discussed the issues. I am happy with the resolution. I want to preface this review by stating we paid close to $700 a night and stayed in a king suite with courtyard view. We have stayed at many luxury boutique hotels in the pnw and this has not been our favorite by a long shot. The first night we had dinner at the Fireside lounge. Great atmosphere but as soon as we ordered our drinks with dinner the waitress asked us for our card to hold on file. We felt it was a little odd as we have never been asked for a card up front at any restaurant we have ever eaten at. The beds and pillows were very stiff. The 2 nights we stayed there we woke up sore and not well rested as well as paying extra for the courtyard view which was nice but it was rather noisy. We are 39 and are younger with kids but could hear everything outside and in the hall. The second day we went to the hot tub but was not told they do not have changing rooms avail to those that are not getting a treatment. I had to put my clothes and shoes outside in the rain and my husband couldn't use the sauna because he needed to walk our clothes back to the room. The person at the desk stated lockers were only for guests with treatments. This would have been nice to know. We were not impressed with this boutique hotel. The price was high and the treatment from the staff made us feel not welcome. My husband was asked by the hotel staff if we were even guests when he went to the hot tub! I am just completely in shock comparing to other places we have stayed and paying close to $1500 the rooms are about double what they should be.“

The wine was excellent, the service superb, and the tasting room was cute and comfortable. As the organizer of this event, it was such a please to work with Julie, Darcy, and everyone else on the team that took care of our group of 15 people. All I had to do was show up and take credit for organizing such a great event! Can’t wait to visit again!“

Their set-up is clean and professional looking (you WANT their food truck in your parking lot); their staff is courteous and friendly; they offered a diverse and interesting menu; and our plates were prepared quickly. Oh, the food... top notch! I had the turkey club, my daughter had the mac & cheese... both with their crispy, delicious french fries. AMAZING!“
