The service was ok, very "robot" like, not very personable. If you want excellent oysters and a great glass of wine, this place is where you should be. Prices are a bit high for the food though.

The food here is always good & the view even better even on a cloudy day. They only serve wine & beer. The menu is small & doesn't change very often. We ways enjoy our time here but it is Very pricey.

I was craving oysters, they did not disappoint, great selection. I am a fresh oyster snob and I love smalls and extra smalls. I ordered the Shigoku, the Judd’s Cove and the Kumomoto. Beyond fresh and so sweet. Perfect texture, sweet salty taste and their sauce complimented the flavors, but I am still Marie Sharps hot sauces & lemon fan. Their endive fig salad was delectable, the Washington Mushroom appetizer was rich and delish. The view and sunset incredible. The server was so sweet and knew her menu. Will be returning with my husband. Thank you!

What a gem of a restaurant overlooking the Samish Bay! The food was absolutely incredible. We loved the fried oysters and the vegetarian in our group loved the ricotta gnocchi! Everything was incredible - the meal, the music, the ambiance. Extra special shout out to our wonderful server, Lara C., for making our dining experience truly exceptional! The Oyster Bar is absolutely worth the drive. A must-stop for any Pacific Northwestern or visitor!

My first 5☆ review ever ??If it helps adding credibility to my review, I'm a French lad, who lived in Asia for 4 years and now 2 in Canada. I know food for all over the world and French are notoriously annoying (rightfully??) when it comes to food haha. So if a French customer is satisfied, you can book a table blindly!Jokes aside though, this was absolutely amazing and I found this place completely by chance. I have stopped expecting breathtaking food in Vancouver but this is just what I got here:- the tastiest mussels (with just the right ocean taste and soft texture) coupled with masterful broth (I ordered bread again just to fully enjoy it and "saucer" as we say back home)- incredibly soft Ahi tuna, with a tasty thin crust of spices and an amazing mediterranean sauce that blew me away although I ate that same dish many times- delicate and "accurate-tasting" oysters with different flavor profilesAlright this is starting to be too long of a review but I have 2 special notes:- amazing staff, not pushy and not solely interested in tips rather than proper service (hello Vancouver)- the view...i mean...just look at the picturesIf anyone either staff or owner reads this, I don't know where life will lead you and if you will stay in this field, but know this: you've done wonders in your respective areas and you can all be proud of it ?Cheers - The French Lad

Nice place and menu. We came in and were asked if we had reservations just before 4. We felt like the hostess didn’t want us there when we said we were interested in appetizers and a drink. The place had 3 tables working and reduced to 1 when we left. We were sat in the corner window table with the sun beating on us our whole visit. It was obvious to staff we had difficulties but it wasn’t addressed until a male staff member went outside to roll down shades just as we finished up. We may not have been your regular spenders but we did spend 75$ on delicious but tiny portions.

Truly a 5 star restaurant. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. They do a fantastic job of making their guests feel relaxed so that the dining experience can be enjoyed. The entire meal is well timed so that you never feel rushed and are surprised when a couple of hours have passed. The only slight negative is that it can be a little loud with conversations and expensive. But we definitely get our money's worth.

The view was absolutely beautiful and it was stunning to see the oyster farm in the water below. The oysters themselves were locally sourced and delicious. The rest of our meal had some highs and lows - the crab cakes and palate cleanser were especially a hit. However, the souffle, while technically excellent, didn't have much flavor, and the ricotta gnocchi was a letdown overshadowed by too many strongly flavored vegetables. For the price point, we were expecting every element of our meal to be above and beyond. I'll also mention, it's funny to see photos of this restaurant on Yelp, because The Oyster Bar says right when you walk in and again on the menu not to use your phone. This was weirdly a bummer. It was my first time trying oysters and was a reunion with friends in a beautiful location. I would have loved something to remember it by.
