Myself and my family at large have been going to this restaurant for decades and the quality and service that this restaurant has provided has remained the same throughout the years. The food I just had today is just as tasty and what I remembered it to be when I was a kid way back in the 90s. Golden star is a restaurant that can be easy to miss and it truly is a gem in this area. I don't think I could recommend this restaurant more if I tried.
Food is great, but not worth the over hour wait and nobody to help you out. Extremely irritated was told my called in order would be ready by 750pm and still waiting to pick up at 830pm

Sad to say we won't be going back..we originally love the food here..progressively is just gotten worse..we went yesterday..the fried rice is absolutely gross..mushy..brown..never in my life have I had fried rice this bad ..chicken subgum..absolutely not fresh and no flavor..were done and will not recommend to any of our friends..

I gave it a 5 star as there food is amazing but the reason for the review is to see if they were still open and looks to appear there open! My hubby and I attempted to eat here about a month or so ago and there doors were locked :( We so were looking forwarded to eating here.

I LOVE the food! Due to the 2020 "reset", I only eat take away, as the hardships placed on business owners to operate in this latest existence, are simply too ridiculous to endure. Calling in the order is always quick and easy. The order is always prepared as requested each time. Fantastic serving size, and, INFLATION considered, "affordably" priced.
Tonight was not a good night. Our family of four walked in ,waiting to be seated. It took a long time for someone to notice us waiting. A gentleman finally noticed us and was about to seat us while holding the menus until another employee snagged him and they dealt with a wrong order. Apparently, it took 3 employee to deal with wrong order. Finally, we got seated. Then it took forever to get tea/ water and to order. Once someone took our order our food came out in spurts. We ordered 2 Appetizers and one came out seconds before one person go their main meal. 2nd Appetizer came out with 2nd persons meal. We waited quite some time for the 3rd and 4th meal to come out. 1st and 2nd meal got cold by time 3rd and 4th meal came. Good was not good tonight. The beef was hard , the grill cheese was not even melted, sweet and sour chicken came as orange chicken, the last meal was to be served on hot plate and it was not. It was luke warm ,the pancake was cold and broke apart when folding. No one checked on us to refill water glasses. We had to flag someone down to do so.I would have loved to give a wonderful review but three times in the past few months we have tried your service and food and each time it got worse so that is why I gave tonight review. Sure hope if we ever return, we will have better food and service.

Food was okay. Just not the best. And the price was outrageous! I know prices going up everywhere but I know places with better prices and better food.I went in to get my called into go order and the lady at counter just looked at me and walked past to go in the back. There was 3 other groups of people behind me and she didnt say anything to anyone. Another lady was clearing tables and asked me if I had been helped and when I said no, she shook her head and said wow. Then went in back and got a man to come out. Was kinda weird.
