I have been going here since we were first married. We go to different places to compare on vacations, but no one compares to Golden Star style of cooking. It's old school style and it's the best in my opinion. The wait staff greets you like family and are very efficient. Met a couple of friends for dinner here. It has some of the best Chinese food in Bremerton. The BBQ pork chow mein was pretty good. If you get the sceshwan beef and like a nice amount of spice, get it at a level 3. My friends got the moo go gai pan and the hot and sour soup. They also enjoyed their meal. I've been here before, and coming back had made me realize that I need to go here when craving Chinese food. It's also not that far from where I live.

I thought the food and overall service was pretty good. Their pork fried rice was really flavorful and their almond chicken was good. The food was flavorful and the evening overall was nice. I think it was just a little pricey for what we got. I would have liked the dishes to be more in $14-$15 range, instead of the $18-$22 range. It just adds up and pretty soon, a night out of 4 turns into $120, which seems a little steep for Chinese food.
