“I'm so glad we checked out Big Block brewing while we camped in the nearby County Park. We enjoyed a wide variety of beers in one, five beer flight. To top off the delicious beers, we enjoyed listening to the brewery's origin story from the daughter of the owner, who was working that day. Look it up, it is a great story. The Session IPA and Mosaic IPA really stood out to me and my bride loved the Black Ale. This was well worth the visit.”

“This place offers a rare Latin breakfast menu item called Migas and oh man is it good. The wait staff are all friendly and your cup is never empty. The atmosphere is like a cozy small diner/family kitchen and it is relaxing and laid back. And as a rare tea drinker, I can say that while they charge the same as other places for tea, they serve super high quality English breakfast tea, which was delightful. I AM SO GLAD THEY ARE BACK in Issaquah!!”

“Saints & Scholars is just tremendous and has become one of our *favorite* places on the Ridge. This is exactly what a neighborhood pub should feel like!

The food is consistently great, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service has always been fantastic. But what really sets this place apart is how genuinely welcoming it feels. The owner is constantly making the rounds, talking with people, checking in and making you feel like he’s happy you’re there. It makes such a difference, and it’s a big part of why we keep coming back.

The space has so much personality and a great Irish pub atmosphere without feeling forced or overly themed, and the cute patio is an added bonus when the weather cooperates. It’s equally good for stopping in for a drink, grabbing dinner, or settling in and staying awhile.

Great food can get you through the door once, but it’s the combination of good food, atmosphere and people that turns a restaurant into a neighborhood favorite. Saints & Scholars absolutely gets that right. It’s why they are always packed - call if you aren’t sure but you really should have a reservation on weekend evenings and their website makes it easy.

We’re lucky to have them on the Ridge. An easy five stars from us!!”

“The food at Aji Sushi was pretty good overall. We ordered a dish with rice, meat, and a few other ingredients, and it was served in what looked like a cast-iron dish straight from the stove. It was extremely hot. The staff did warn us, which I appreciate, but the dish was still so hot that I accidentally touched it for a moment and slightly burned my hand.

I think serving this dish in a regular plate or a less extremely hot dish would be safer and more comfortable for customers. Other than that, the food was good and we enjoyed our meal.

One big plus, though, is that they bring complimentary miso soup and salad at the beginning of the meal. It was a nice touch and definitely something we appreciated!”

“ordered over the phone one three piece cod and one order of waffle fries as well as the kids meal cheese burger. Got home and discovered two cheese burgers ( not including condiments requested) and no no waffle fries. Added my tip to this order as I usually try to do but maybe next time , ??? No reciept given and I thought i'ts all good ?????”

“I got the rare stake pho and my husband got the Jenny special the servings were large and well priced. They were both delicious. The broth had great taste. The service was great, they were all super friendly. I would highly recommend.”
