One of the few places left that you can get a real home cooked meal.

Heard about Carmen’s from a friend. My wife and I stopped in for lunch on the way home from the beach. I ordered a cheeseburger with salad. My wife ordered at turkey provolone sandwich. It was a great meal!! Can’t wait to try out breakfast!!

Delicious omelettes and red potatoes! Our server was efficient and friendly. Prices and quantities were good. We'll eat here again when we're in the area.

Love this restaurant, awesome home cooked meals with the old fashioned flavors, service is excellent, I also enjoy looking at their decor, has a lot of great history.

Poor customer service. Didn't offer us anything to drink except the water that is a standard with any meal. Didn't offer us any hot sauce or anything for that matter. But we did notice that other people were offered these extras. A simple thing like an orange slice was on everyone's plate except ours.
I would have to say the "locals" are treated with respect. If you appear to be from out of town and maybe looking to relocate (we arent) they all but ignore you.

Disappointing experience. Very frustrating and unaccommodating. No napkins, silverware, refills on coffee or water etc. Sat 5 adults and 2 children at a 4-top. Fire hazard waiting to happen.

This has been my go to place in the gorge for breakfast. No hipsters here, just down home locals looking for a great breakfast at a reasonable price. A true oasis away from the hype across the river. I am a sucker for a chicken fried steak and this place makes a great one. Crisp even under the gravy and the eggs are always cooked as ordered. You want medium, you get medium. Easy and you get easy. It seems not worth mentioning but you'd be surprised how many places can't even do this reliably. Biscuits are good and worth ordering but not the best ever. If you're in the area do yourself a favor and cross over to Bingen for a great meal in a real small town diner. 5 stars all day long.
