The friendliest people in washington
We had a wonderful time there The owner and his wife are great people. Would love to go back.
Been there since 1927, met the owner, pro motocross racer in 1970, old moto posters on the walls, super nice guy, thought they would have gas in the town of Brooklyn, nope, 5 houses and a tavern. Rode dual sport motorcycles there down forest service roads, one in our group was on reserve, nearest gas 40 miles away, bartender called every house in town, last house had a gallon of 93 non ethanol to make it to nearest fuel! Brooklyn Tavern is a great spot to enjoy a drink with friends, with excellent atmosphere and a friendly staff. The tradition of adding dollars to the ceiling adds a fun touch to the place. Known for good burgers and alright pizzas, this rustic building from 1927 is a local hangout with old photos and equipment on display. The new owner is personable and mentioned the fully fenced back yard for dogs and yard games. While the road in might be tricky for non-off-road vehicles, the unique bottle cap parking lot adds to the charm of this historic tavern. Note that there are a few steps up to the bar, making wheelchair access limited.
