Stayed at Lone Fir over a weekend for access to St. Helens trails. There was an issue with the water heater in our rustic hotel room the first night, and when we got back to the room the next day after hiking the staff had taken care of everything. We got back to a handwritten note, and a staff member immediately came over and connected with us to get us to our new room. Really love it at this resort, the staff really cares about the experience, can't wait to be back again!

This place was fantastic! The staff was friendly and quick to help when we needed it. The rooms were clean. The grounds were very well taken care of and there's a decent amount for you and your kids to do right there on the grounds. Not to mention the views and scenery were gorgeous! On the way in right down the road we were able to stop at a Old River Mill. It was very simple but very cool to see. Highly suggested. The next morning before checkout we were able to get up and drive around for a couple hours and see river rapids, waterfalls, forest views spanning miles and great views of the peak. We were even lucky enough to get a little family of deer to run in front of and behind our car at one point. If you are planning to climb St. Helens or you're just trying to get away from everything; this is a great place to go.P.S. - Don't let my pictures tell the whole story. I'm the kind of person that saves the best shots for my eyeballs and really only takes pictures to go back and remember the shots I saw with my eyeballs. ?

The Lone Fir Resort is by far one of the nicest, cleanest and welcoming place we have stayed at. The management go above and beyond in keeping everything maintained, updated and clean. Everyone we have ever talked to have always been friendly, appreciative and very welcoming. The first time we stayed at The Lone Fir was one year ago as of April 1, 2023. From the moment we set up camp til leaving two days later we made so many new, happy memories….or as we refer to things we do together ……we have yet another new adventure to add to the ones we had already made. Since that first time last April till now we probably have created at least 6 or 7 more new adventures taken place where The Lone Fir was part of it. One of the other things we really enjoy about staying at The Lone Fir is the location….it is SO BEAUTIFUL and so peaceful. There are so many activities a person can enjoy all near by. Our favorite things we enjoy the most are fishing for rainbow trout within 10 minutes of our camp. We have had a blast learning about fishing, since fishing was relatively new to both of us and oh boy the thrill of bringing a fish to shore is incredible…we also enjoy kayaking in Beaver Bay and when we get back to camp we can’t wait to have a campfire, roast some marshmallows and count all the stars up above while listening to the frogs and crickets in the near distance. We turn some music on and dance around the fire and I know for a fact we wish the moment would never end. I believe it has brought the two of us closer together, solidified our relationship. Another very cool thing about the Line Fir is they have an annual car show and we were lucky enough to be here last year for it. We were able to admire numerous classic, vintage and beautiful muscle cars and on Saturday night there was a band called “The Rock Doctors “. The music was great and everyone listened and danced outside. Super fun and entertaining! We have already reserved our camp spot this June for the 4th annual Carshow/Campout. We met so many way cool and fun people last year we definitely didn’t want to miss it this year…so if you were to ask us what we thought about the Lone Fir Resort, we would only have good things to say about the facility, the management, the staff and it is definitely the place we will continue to visit as many times as we can before winter hits again. Once you leave here and have to go back to reality you will be rejuvenated and ready to conquer another day back in the real world called life…..we hope to see you there making some new adventures of your own….Dave & Donna

The only problem was the noisy electric heater which kept cycling - may have been a mechanical problem. Management notified.Nearby activities: Good location for exploring Lewis River Falls, Ape Caves, etc

My son and I stayed in cabin 10 for 2 nights and it was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! The resort is quaint and clean. The cabin was perfect for us, rustic, clean, and had all the amenities we could need. The staff was unbelievably kind and helpful. We made friends with the neighbors camping next to us and enjoyed breakfast and mimosas with them. We played in the lava tubes, explored waterfalls and trails framed by breathtaking views of Mt. St. Helens and swift reservoir. The air is so fresh and clean, and the stars are amazing. My son and I had a great bonding trip filled with laughter and relaxation. We didn’t spot Bigfoot on this trip, but we’ll be back again this summer to pick up where we left off!Thank you Lone Fir staff for everything, we’ll see you at your annual car show event!!

A Very nice stay. Everything was super clean and all the furniture was wooden which was a nice rustic and unique experience. Even some deer roaming around the grounds of the resort felt like a good place to sleep. Even got there later it was dark and they were nice enough to have the key ready for me with room number. I was alittle worried. Thank Lone Fir

This was a great spot for a quick overnight in our camper. Sadly, it was out of season for just about everything, but that's not these folks' fault. The gift shop had lotsa cute items and the restaurant food was tasty! Bathrooms were updated and clean Would love to give it a go in the summer - they have an outdoor pool that looked inviting.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay here! Rooms were extremely clean and much nicer than the price would suggest. Great choice for the night before a St. Helens
