We were in town to vacation. This restaurant got really good reviews so we made a reservation. The views in ambience were incredible. Our waiter was wonderful and anticipated. All our needs. The food was good and I would highly recommend anyone in the Seattle area making a reservation.
Service has been very friendly, but lacking in timeliness, on the last two visits. This time, not the server's fault; it took us 17 minutes to get seated when there was plenty of room and we had reservations. People who came in behind us were seated ahead of us. Party of 3. Water never got filled, even though I asked. I waited tables for 2 years, the last at a very high-class restaurant where food was prepared tableside at times and tuxedos were worn. I can't imagine lasting a couple of days as the Maitre D was tough but right on.
This is my 4th dinner at Salty's. We go there on special occasions and they never disappoint. The service is always excellent and the food is always wonderful. The view of downtown Seattle is a very enjoyable bonus. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent dining experience, being it was a Birthday celibration I was very empressed by everything. The Oysters were as good as any I've ever tasted, so fresh and flavorfull. The view was stunning and the service top shelf. I had the Fish and Chips, just a simple dish but cooked to perfection and fries a plenty. We plan to return for the Buffet.
We've been going to Salty's on Alki and Salty's at Redondo Beach for some time now even before the pandemic. It's our go to for quality seafood, service, and an environment that can't be compared to. The price has gone up since the pandemic, but everything else seems to have adjusted with the times. People will pay top dollar regardless of how much their household income is if you stay consistent with their quality service, food, and overall experience for the consumers and employees!
OMG ... so love Salty's! The view, the food, the service. Ben the bartender was so fun, helpful and accomodating. Thanks for tuning the TV into our Trojan game! Dustin was so personable and such a wonderful server! And, that Lily ... what a sweet, kind hostess.
For as expensive as this brunch was ($110/person), I would expect top-notch food. While the seafood offering were good- fresh crab legs, good quality shrimp, tasty chowder, the baked-goods portion of the brunch left a lot to be desired. The pastries tasted cold and dry- like they'd been removed from the freezer not long ago. The fair scones were rock solid and super cold- I've never had cold, hard fair scone before and it was NOT good. They told us all baked good were house-made, but they definitely did not taste like it. And the coffee was really terrible. There's no excuse for terrible coffee at an higher-end restaurant in Seattle. Minor things, but made a big impressions (especially with that price tag.) There were a lot of options, though, and our waiter was excellent.
Brought very picky guests visiting from LA. They were impressed and happy. Our server and all the buffet servers and chefs were amazing. Food delicious and so much of it. Great variety. The view as always does not disappoint. I only wish the leftover food I'm sure you have could find a home. Thank you !
We had an outstanding lunch there with friends from out of town. Of course, they love the view. Service was excellent. Ben did a wonderful job and stayed on top of the game the whole time we were there. I recommend this restaurant will be back soon.
Great location, right on the water. When the weather's nice, the outdoor seating is the way to go!

We had a wonderful time. Everything was excellent. We celebrated a friend's birthday and it felt special. The view of downtown Seattle from our seat was breathtaking. Our server was quite friendly. Will highly recommend for special occasions!
Great atmosphere and food, variety isn't what it used to be. Be ready to spend a pretty penny for a brunch for 2. The atmosphere is lovely, but in today's times, it shouldn't cost $300 for 2 people. I'd recommend for special occasions.
Celebrated my birthday with my wife, niece, and nephew. And although the food was good, it just wasn't as tasty as usual. We ordered four different meals. The Almond crusted halibut, which was good. But not as good as it used to be. The Simply halibut had a beurre blanc type sauce and it was okay. Kind of dry, and true to its name.. very simple. The New York strip was overcooked and then the replacement was undercooked. However after the third try, it was cooked to temp. Unfortunately, the flavor wasn't there. My niece felt like eating fish and chips and our server, Willian, made it happen! The fries were so good! And she loved the fish. If it weren't for Willian, who was such an amazing server, I don't think we would've left happy. He was so attentive and apologized when something went wrong. And made sure we were happy. Really appreciated that. Prices are a bit high for what you get. But the views are amazing. We'd go again. But would probably try something different.
It's an astonishing setting so one can be very forgiving. But our service was poor (meal plating was seriously scrambled) and the prices were high enough that we should have expected better. Food quality was good. But the view is priceless!
Absolutely perfect! This is our first stop when we visit Seattle . Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere. What really sets Saltys above other restaurants is the staff . Excellent
