While most of the food was good the service was not. Hostess was confused about where we were sitting. It took much too long for the server to come to the table. Then long waits for courses. And my pet peeve - I had ordered a glass of wine with my entree that didn’t come with the food. I asked two different people to bring it. Then the hostess brought the wrong wine. When it finally came I’d had the food for 10 minutes. No excuse for that. They should have comped the wine...
Best meal of our trip (including all the fab places in Seattle). Gorgeous waterfront setting, incredible cocktails, delicious locally sourced food and the loveliest waiter Ben (who couldn’t do enough for us and went the extra mile to make sure our evening was special, thank you). Also a perfect place to view a spectator Orcas Island sunset. A night to remember.
Beef was wonderfully cooked but served quite cool and had to rush to eat before the fat congealed. There was a strip of fat with some grizzle down the middle that the wife didn’t appreciate. Bread pretty pricey with a quarter round with jam for $15. Still one of the finest dining experiences on Orcas although there’s a lot of babies and small kids so your experience may vary considerably depending on what kids are in your area.
