Three words: sourdough cardamom roll.
Two words: life changing
come get you some
We wandered in here thinking it was the pizza restaurant and we wanted lunch. However, the bakery was getting ready to close for the day and the sourdough cardamom rolls caught my eye. They gave me two for once since they were closing up for the day! They were absolutely amazing. I did not even share them with my husband. I straight up, ate both myself.
The workers at the bakery, then gave us a pro tip to eat at the restaurant next-door, which was also epic.

I’ve been obsessed with Seabird pastries for a few years now (I’m not the only one, hence the line of eager customers!) and I can tell you for sure that this little gem outshines any bakery in the PNW. (Okay, Tabor Bread & Babcia Bread in Portland are pretty good.) Bree is an amazing artist with her creations and you haven’t lived until you try her stuffed donut.🤤 (Seasonal) Her galettes are my fav. Go and go early!

Absolutely blown away. I don't think I've seen sourdough donuts anywhere before, but these were incredible. The raspberry creme and the chocolate/caramel were both fantastic across flavor, texture, cook, and that extra hit of sour tang.

What a fantastic gem of a business, run by wonderful people! My wife and I were visiting the island for her birthday, and had emailed the bakery ahead asking if they had gluten free items. They responded that they typically did, and would be willing to see a couple aside for us to make sure we could get some. And they did! They were so kind, and the baker came out and described in detail each of the items she baked (which were also fantastic by the way). Can’t recommend enough if you’re in the area during their pop up times!

Some of the best baked goods I’ve had. At the level of Parisian bakeries with a PNW twist. Worth the long lines in the summer ?

Brea’s pastries are a true highlight of the week on Orcas. Over the few years she’s been doing her Saturday pop-ups, her creativity and artistry has evolved in delicious ways! Watch her Instagram for a preview of the week’s offerings, always seasonal and special. I have also commissioned a birthday cake from her, and it was so yummy and exquisitely decorated. Her baking is a labor of love. We’re so lucky to have her talent in our community!

Was one of our favorite parts of our trip!! We got a birthday cake and some baked goods and had a gorgeous picnic outside back in May!! Couldn't have been more impressed with the service, artistry or taste of everything!! Thanks for the birthday joy :)
(quiche and tarts pictured were from brown bear, cake & baked goods were from seabird!)

You will not be disappointed with the love and care that this sweet pop-up bakery brings to the island community. Local and regionally sourced ingredients as well as foraged are used in the pastries. Intentionality is felt in everything they do and I feel so lucky we get to have this experience! Worth the wait, anytime and every time!

The feeling of having local pastries by islanders for our community cannot be quantified in a Google Review.
I’ve been allergic to wheat my entire life and as a result have eaten some pretty bland food. Seabird creations are the best gluten free pastries I’ve ever had so I’m incredibly lucky that they’re my routine stop on Saturday mornings. If you’re also gf you’ll need to show up early in the summers as they often sell out of the famous corn cookie.
