Lunchtime visit. Friendly greeter, waiter busy, food good, wonderful view if sitting near a window! I had fish tacos which were good but chipotle dressing is not my favorite. It wasn’t bad I just didn’t realize that was going to be on it. Husband had Madrona Burger that he enjoyed. We also ordered fish and chips to take back to our hotel for dinner later and that was very good.
My husband and I made a reservation..celebrating our 35th anniversary. The manager? Owner?( Making assumptions since she was the only one not in a uniform and was at the bar doing paperwork while we were there.) Seated us and said she’d be back with the menus. Nothing… no server even looked our way. 20 minutes later the bartender came by and asked if we had menus. He brought them out. We received water at the 30 minute mark. We should have left then. Unfortunately we didn’t. My expectation? Just some dignity and respect. Nope, not at this place. There were 2 other tables experiencing the same lack of service. It was blatantly obvious that we were not welcome. The manager came to the table behind us and chatted up a storm. They received their drinks and appetizers before we ever got a menu. The bartender took our order which was a small overcooked salmon filet and old burned? Mashed potatoes. The asparagus spears were edible. Fish is the most common food served on the island and it was inedible. I felt badly for the other tables that were being ignored.. they had kids to feed. A very sad situation with no communication amongst the staff. Not one server helped the other with our tables…no water, order takers, table clearers touched us. We weren’t the only ones. An hour and 40 minutes for an overcooked 6oz filet of salmon (takes about 7 minutes to cook), burned mashed potatoes and asparagus. Seems the staff is not motivated if you’re not a local and the mood comes from the top. We will never, ever go back to this restaurant. No, I do not recommend this place…unless you’re local…they were treated well and maybe their meal was good.
Excellent view, good service, yummy food. The MaiTai was delicious and they had a wide variety of options. Fresh sea food is a specialty
The food is phenomenal, the waiters and waitresses were friendly and smart. Get a reservation, and don’t be surprised if the kitchen is slow. We went three days, twice for dinner and once for lunch. Wait time was long for two of the three, but worth it.
We stopped in here with our son, daughter-in-law and his 3 year old for lunch. The location was nice and we were seated promptly. Our orders were taken promptly but the food took awhile to arrive. Our appetizers came out with our meal, not before so we were exceptionally hungry. We thought it odd that tables who were seated long after us had their appetizers yet we hadn't gotten ours. The crab cakes were good and my husband liked his Philly cheesesteak sandwich, though it had too much sauce on it. My chicken pesto sandwich was terrible and I couldnt eat it. Our server never stopped by during our meal to check on us- he never even glanced our way. He came by at the end to ask if we needed containers. I told him my sandwich was terrible and I couldnt eat it. His only comment was ' Well I guess you dont want a box'. No offer to resolve it, no questions as to why, just shrugged it off and said ' well I guess everyone's tastes are different. Wow. When the check arrived, we were shocked to see we were charged 20% for a large party as we only had 4 adults and a 3 year old. When we questioned it, he said ' any time we need to push tables together, it's considered a large party and a 20% charge is automatically added. WHAT??? The child ate off her parents plates . As we were leaving I asked for and spoke to the manager. I told her how terribly disappointed we were with our experience. She said when there is a party of 6 or more, they add the surcharge. She looked and said ' oh, you only had 5, you shouldn't have been charged- I will look into it'. Told her about the comments the server made and she made a surprised face and again said I will look into it. Well, no reduction on our bill and the $32 surcharge was never reversed nor was my inedible sandwich. I suggested to her that getting my bill adjusted would be appreciated. Nothing. I would steer clear of here if you dont want disappointing surprises. I guess I could have been really insistent but didnt want to make a scene in front of my family.
I wish I could say the food was wonderful, however, the staff was so rude we left before we could order. It is a lovely location, but unfortunately the sun was shining in our eyes at the table we were sat. We got up and moved which apparently was the wrong thing to do. Reading the reviews I see that we are not the only ones who encountered rude staff.

Absolutely amazing! I ordered the bruschetta and the blackened rockfish and both were 10/10. The views from the restaurant were stunning as well.

Came here for lunch and I am so disappointed. First , I would never take the time to leave a review if I didn’t feel it was necessary. However, I am also in the restaurant industry and WOULD NEVER make a customer feel the way I was made feel today,. My fiancé and I came in with my 6 month old daughter and our jogging stroller. When the server sat us at our table he made a comment about how the restaurant was small and didn’t have the proper room for it. I immediately felt unwelcome and as if me and my family were an inconvenience, primarily my daughter. The food was ok, the atmosphere is wonderful. But I definitely wouldn’t dine here again with how we were treated by staff

Mediocre at best. Okay menu and atmosphere, but very slow service, and server that couldn’t have been less interested. The host actually visited our table during our meal and did a great job. Our actual server took our order, ignored us until it was time to pay and then implied she expected a sizable tip. Disappointing enough that we will find other places to eat while visiting.
