We stopped by Lakeside Eats (seemly a smaller version of the cafe) for a quick bite. Ordered one hotdog and an order of the Parmesan fries. 50 minutes later we were still waiting. Finally went up to the window after seeing several families who had ordered after us receive their food, and when we arrived at the counter, we essentially had to reorder our food. Finally got our food and it was incorrect (they just handed us a basket of lukewarm fries with none of the toppings), but at that point we were so frustrated with the service that it wasn’t worth deliberating.

Now the workers in the stand were rather young. It was obvious that they needed an adult present due to their lack of work ethic and awareness. And it wasn’t just us who received this treatment, we witnessed another family walk up to the window and ask about their food because they had been waiting for 45 minutes. So this wasn’t just an oversight, it was pervasive.

There’s no tip option when you pay which is nice. Fries could be crisper and the sprite was flat.

It feels too small and the prices are unreasonable. it feels too plain and services has too many issues with delivery and operation.

What a down grade. Annual membership holders for years now and recently tried the cafe again. Idk what they changed to but it’s not good. Paid 20.00 for bun, meat, cheese, and BBQ with undercooked fries. Save your money and try somewhere better.

Very good food! I had the 1905 burger and it was cooked perfect! Soft bun and juicy burger! Food came out in a timely manner! Only thing that could be better is a quiter eating area if you aren't eating outside, when a kid screams it echoes! Overall I recommend! I enjoy eating here to support the park!

Avoid the caesar salad : it is composed of 4 leaves of salad and charged 12 bucks with almost nothing else.

The burger was alright but my only complaint is how the fountain drink tea tasted like root beer which is not what I wanted. It's alright I suppose. Not amazing but not horrible.

Always a good time even in the rain. The tram was down but that didn't stop the fun. We went to the hoot n howl and every without the spooky tram ride, it was a blast.

Staff were in the back for some time before noticing the two people waiting patiently to order. The food was hot and eatable but that’s about it. Combo includes waffle fries and a fountain drink, but half of the fountain options were out so I paid for water. Small indoor space with a fireplace, the table closest was occupied with a man playing video games with the sound on?! Zoo cafe prices, no discount for members. I’d skip it next time.

Nice seating area with a fireplace and totem pole. Decent food.Outdoor covered picnic shelter and outdoor tables and chairs with unbrellas. Both overlooking Kids Trek play area.

New kids area looks like it will be great. Team ride through the preserve is informative and up close to animals.

Make sure to take the tram ride and see the bison up close! Like, REALLY close.

The tram ride is awesome. We saw just about every animal we could.
