I will give credit for the innovative nature of the food - it is fit for foodies. But it doesn't always work. There is way too much sweet sauce on the French toast; the combination of deep fried chicken pieces with topping, plus waffles was too much sweet and fried food at the same time. The Chinese churros were chewy; I've had both churros and the original Chinese version (you tiao) and there is no reason for these to be tough. The portions are abundant, and the omelette...
Very difficult menu to comprehend: basic menu with small plates, bowls and entrees; seasonal add ons; daily special page, etc. Overly complex flavors do not merge well, served in attractive but difficult to use plates and bowls. Service friendly but not attentive and table arrangement made it difficult to deliver food and remove empty plates. Most food was tasty. Total bill was high for the evening based on the value received.
Absolutely next level ~ incredible food, flawless service. This unremarkable storefront entrance leads to one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had. FANTASTIC!! We were here for happy hour and a birthday dinner, and every dish and specialty cocktail was excellent.
