Hosted a business dinner last night. Restaurant was very accommodating toward a vegetarian entree special request. Our group of 6 was very pleased with their meals. Stand outs for me were the burrata appetizer and my duck entree. Glass pours of wine were very reasonably priced as were the appetizers. Entree prices were competitive to other similar restaurants. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I dined here for the first time for his birthday and the only thing that wasn't perfect was our table. When I reserved on OpenTable I asked for a window seat and when we arrived they were all taken, so that was immediately disappointing. But the food was wonderful, we really liked sharing the mixed grill for two! Even the house salad was surprisingly good, I normally forgo salads but I loved the avocado and pepitas. They let us substitute the papas bravas for truffle fries, which was also amazing. Our drinks were great too, we did the Happy Hour old fashioned and lemon drop, then my husband got the draft Pilsner with a shot and I did the Hemingway #2 with some simple syrup. We also got two desserts, but I'm sad the bread pudding was off the menu! Bring back bread pudding!! Our coffee crème brûlée was a bit thick on top, I kinda felt like I was eating a window pane, but it was delicious underneath. Our server was Sophia, she was awesome ❤️ We did debate whether to go to Salt + Iron or here, and I'm glad we chose Charcoal in the end. We will be back!

My husband and I went to Charcoal for our 42nd anniversary. The staff and our server all said "Happy Anniversary" to us and we each received a glass of champagne to help celebrate the evening! The food was wonderful!!!

So many different and delicious choices at this cool spot on the way down to the ferry in Edmonds. The beets appetizer with the horseradish chantilly cream is about the most amazing thing I have eaten in the past year. Steaks (grilled over an open fire) are out of this world. Even the steak salad is an elevated experience. Good cocktails, decent wine list. Definitely a place worth checking out!

We picked Charcoal last minute on a Sunday night. Items on the restaurant week menu were interesting but not on the regular menu. We both got the steak salad. The steak was perfectly cooked and had a nice favor. The dressing on the accompanying salad was really good. The pickled onions a nice texture. I got some grit in my salad just towards the end. Ugh haha!
