Awesome as usual. We had mixed grill plate, scallops and duck. All nicely prepared and delicious. Salad is unique and amazing.

So many different and delicious choices at this cool spot on the way down to the ferry in Edmonds. The beets appetizer with the horseradish chantilly cream is about the most amazing thing I have eaten in the past year. Steaks (grilled over an open fire) are out of this world. Even the steak salad is an elevated experience. Good cocktails, decent wine list. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Oh boy, one of the best meals I've had and certainly the very best in Edmonds. All four of my party thought so. Gorgeous decor and kind service too. Not to be missed.

A wonderful meal! We go for my birthday every year as I am never disappointed. Our server Tosh again made this a perfect evening.

We had a very nice meal as always. Our server, Danielle, was excellent as always. We are glad you continue to have our favorites on the menu.

Good food. Better than I remembered. I'm glad they've added more variety including price options to the menu. Sever was great. Maybe would have been nice to comp the dessert given we were celebrating a special occasion.

We picked Charcoal last minute on a Sunday night. Items on the restaurant week menu were interesting but not on the regular menu. We both got the steak salad. The steak was perfectly cooked and had a nice favor. The dressing on the accompanying salad was really good. The pickled onions a nice texture. I got some grit in my salad just towards the end. Ugh haha!

Excellent food and service all around! We had drinks, appetizers, main course, dessert. Service was flawless and food was premium quality.

First time dining here and it was a wonderful experience. The space is beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the menu is full of delicious options. I started with the Hemingway 2 cocktail - well balanced and a light way to start the evening. My first course was the charred beet salad - when it arrived, I thought there had been a description error - it looked like clouds of burrata (a common accompaniment to beets) were covering the thick slices - it was actually horseradish 'foam' - an intensely flavored, creamy, light topping for the oven charred beets and was amazing! Rich and yet sharp, the perfect pairing with the earthy, sweet beets, peppery arugula and pickled radish slivers. For the main I had the pork tenderloin - another flavor bomb. Rubbed with vegetable ash (according to the server) and then roasted in the coals, it took on a sweet, smoky crust and was incredibly tender and juicy - the duck fat braised cabbage and base of caramelized carrot puree rounded out the flavors and textures perfectly. The glass of Mark Ryan's "Dissident" red blend (a very healthy pour!) was a great pairing with the rich pork. The staff was friendly and efficient and really knew their menu and wine list (based on my eavesdropping). As a solo diner, I appreciated how comfortable they made me feel, from the front door to the final bill. There are many other menu options I look forward to trying. Highly recommend!

I cannot overstate how much we enjoyed our experience at Charcoal. The food was delicious, wonderful service, and the location perfect. We enjoyed a pasta with prawns, cauliflower appetizer, and ashes pork. All were fantastic and just the right amount for two. We also enjoyed a Hemingway#2 and French Bishop cocktails. The space is open and has a modern feel. I highly recommend this gem for a nice night out. We plan to return again.

Tried this place out for my in-laws anniversary and was totally impressed! Food and service are top notch! Highly recommend giving them a try. Update: The second time in was as good if not somehow better than the first!

The food was absolutely fantastic. The waitress was there when she needed to be and wasn't there needlessly. It was about 3/4 capacity and you could easily have a conversation at your table with out having to raise your voice. The one drawback is the prices were high but the quality of the food justified it.

Sadly we were disappointed in most dishes. The roasted carrots with the burrata were undercooked and hard. The salad was tiny. The Potato pave was also undercooked and had no flavor or seasoning. The duck was overcooked and dry and had no crispy skin. The apples in the cobbler were undercooked and it was called a blackberry crisp with only 3 blackberries in it. The bread was very boring. The mushroom pasta was good and the cocktails were good. Overall So underwhelming and disappointing!
